@Justajawnie Actually P-8 is 737-800, but only it is modified. The P-8 is being developed by Boeing Defense, Space & Security, modified from the 737-800. I got that off from Wikipedia. So, therefore< P-8 is 737 class. I was right.

@boeing737d Heavily modified 737 for naval military operations: launching torpedoes, depth charges, anti-ship missiles, sonar buoys, etc.

@Justajawnie Then why does it say that it is part of 737 aircraft and yet, it is called P-8 under military name? Once I see it, I know the name for it, but the shape of aircraft is obviously 737 to me. I cant really deny that to myself.

India has a pretty interesting mix of Western and Russian military designs. It seems ideal to train with them to get a feeling for how Russian equipment performs.

@thughes218 I knew it. I live in Everett, I love going see them in KPAE or KBFI. I see one like that, I was, like, I know that has to be 737.. Modified, of course. Thanks for the info!

Not even the P-8A have winglets and i think its to decrease stability and increase maeuverability

Wish i could see more of US ammo in Indian Defense forces...the count at present is $ 8 billion worth of planes/equips ordered and another 12 billion due shortly (including Apache, chinook, javelin, howtzers, 16 p81. 16 C17 (10 ordered +6 follow on) 12 c130....and what not.....INDIA WITH USA.
