Hi, great video - very informative, thank you for posting. One thing I noticed from your review is that the whole thing seems very communal - how did you find this? We are booked on this journey later this year and are a bit concerned that there seems to be few opportunities for us to just enjoy it as a couple without being forced into table sharing, group events etc. Any advice based on your experience would be appreciated as we are wondering whether this trip is right for us as we are quite private people.

Hey there, thanks for watching. You are absolutely free to choose what you want to do and not get involved in the activities. No strict rules as such. You can get the drinks and use the 2 seater table in lounge or simply use your own room. Usually as soon as you board, you’ll find details regarding off train excursions. Once your train starts, staff members will come to confirm your choice and you can clearly talk to them about your concerns. Meal times for us were assigned in advance and we just went ahead with it. We did a mix of both, spent some time in the lounge and sometimes relaxed in our room. Additionally, you could also discuss all of this upfront during your check-in process so that they assign things in your favour. Hope that helps. Wishing you wonderful time on board!! Have fun !

Namaste, I hope you enjoyed the Indian Pacific? I have been on it twice doing two round trips from Sydney to Perth and return. Hope you take The Ghan to Darwin and back, another classic journey by the same company, you have to join The Ghan in Adelaide, lovely video and pleasant background music. Well done...👌
