The Bairabi-Sairang line is a 51 kilometres (32 mi) long railway line from Bairabi to Sairang under the Northeast Frontier Railway zone of Indian Railways.
The Bairabi-Sairang railway line is 93% complete, targeting completion by July next year. Spanning 51.38 km and costing Rs 8,213.72 crore, it will boost Mizoram's economy and tourism. It comprises four stations, 55 major bridges, 87 minor bridges, and 32 tunnels, reducing Mizoram-Assam travel time. Sanctioned in 2008-09 and started in 2015, Governor Kambhampati reviewed the project.
Aizawl: The Bairabi-Sairang railway line, which will put Mizoram on the country's railway map, is likely to be commissioned by July next year, officials said on Friday. About 93 per cent of work for the 51.38-km line has already been completed, officers of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) told Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati during a review meeting for the project
There are four stations on the line -- Hortoki, Kawnpui, Mualkhang and Sairang, and the governor was informed that the line till Hortoki will be commissioned in the next few days, Raj Bhavan officials said.
A successful trial run has already been done on the Bairabi-Hortoki section, they said.

Mam, when i was roaming in bhanga railway station, i saw AGTL - LLT AC EXP with new LHB coaches arrving at bhanga station unscheduled halt more than 10 minutes,first i thought obviously new coaches will be given too Ac sf express, but i noticed in down ward in the door, plate was written of 05639/40 , but 05639 / 40 this number belong to SCl - KOAA SPL,maximum 6 3RD AC coaches are marked with same number of 05639/40 means SCL - KOAA SPL and another 6 coaches was marked as 15611/2 means SCL - RNY EXP

@@Debashree_Choudhury_LIVE I don't think so they will provide lhb coaches to this train like SCL - KOAA and SCL - RNY EXP, in case they will give LHB coaches to premium train like GARIB RATH, AGTL - LLT and AGTL - SMVT-B HUMSAFAR EXP , I think something is happening in NFR
