One big major problem that also needs to be worked upon is the fact that a lot of people still use railways without buying ticket which results in millions of $ lost in revenue for railways. As you have explained in a video before we can't make it like metro to check for tickets but something needs to be done.

The new tracks thats being laid must be done with a long term vision to be able to hold an average operational speed of atleast 160-180kmph and provision to increase it to 200kmph for future vande bharat trains that will have a top speed of 250kmph, thereby helping reduce travel time between cities.

India needs more STPs. India under this regime has improved 10% sewage treatment to 37% sewage treatment. Centre can't do it alone, State needs to be responsible & use it to build sewage infrastructure instead of wasting on freebies

​@@jirachi-wishmaker9242freebies are important, govt can't give everyone job, so they have to give money to people, there is no state in India where freebies is not given, Kejriwal does politics with it, but MP, Rajasthan, WB, Gujrat, Chattisgarh, Orissa, all gives freebies with free grains, electricity subsidy, loan waiver, etc etc etc. What India needs is ease of business, in 2023 (2024 soon), you still have to lick feet of at least 8 sarkari babus to get your permit to start a business, or wait 15 years if you file a case in court against some wrongdoing in it, gotta learn from China or Vietnam how to do business... BJP govt has the majority to solve these issues, but they are more inclined to waste time in bringing in CAA-NRC, changing Penal System, etc, which will give 0 revenue output. He is anyway busy 24/7 going to rallies in every state, not only him, legit all political parties are busy in election rallies every month throughout the year...

Increased Speed + Separate Good and Passenger Train Tracks = Lower Waiting Period as more Trains can be Run In between at higher speed, and Our Logistics speed would improve too. But, Track safety should be protected first.

We seriously need 1) Huge funding to overall improve railway industry. 2) Need to upgrade tracks on fats track 3) New international level trains which are comfortable and Midium HRS and HRS only 4) international level train stations, cleaning, proper management 5) our indian citizen need to improve their standard of living, their habits to keep clean the railways and behave like sophisticated people. 6) Ban all types of gutkha, pan masala all over the country. We need all over effort to improve our infrastructure not only railways. Government should dedicate itself to improve it in minimum time possible no doubt but as a citizen its our duty to take care and use it in most sophisticated and civilized way.

Bhai agar track pehle banate toh tu bolta ki "kya fayda track banane ka humare paas train hi nahi hai" Toh logo ka rona humesha hi laga rahega. Understand the nuisance and reality of engineering.

At this point, IR can earn simply by regularly inspecting and giving fines to people traveling without tickets, The fines should be really high. It's about ₹250 extra as of now, may be hike it 500 or even 1000 :-) Thus no need to increase the ticket price.

We need to build infra not based on current demand which already in not met but based on upcoming decades. We all know it's easier said than done.

Like it or not. Private railway is the only way to modernize Indian railways along with government railways. People take government property for granted and that is the reason people don't follow rules, damage property and pull emergency chain in certain areas.

Railway genuinely needs to remove general coaches from Express trains or don't make them interconnected to other coaches and also check the ticket before boarding. Har baat pe BC gareeb kaha jayega ki behas hone lagti hai, jisne jitna pay kiya hai usko utna hi milega. Agar maine 2000-2500 ki ticket li hai to mujhe shaanti se travel karna hai, naaki neeche floor pe general wale lete hue hain unke upar se chal ke travel karna hai. Aur iss ke baad koi German cartoonist mazak banata hai to uspe RR bhi karna hai.

मैं ये कहना चाह रहा हूं की एक ट्रेन की मैक्सिमम कैपिसिटी 24 कोचों की होती है। और इसी हिसाब से हमारे प्लेटफार्म की लेंथ रखी जाती है। तो रेलवे ये क्यों नहीं करता की प्लेटफार्म की लंबाई डबल कर दे और एक ट्रेन में 24 की जगह 48 डब्बे कर दे!

All upgrades were started after 2014 ...likely bullet lines,rrts,380km new metro lines 700km under-construction,new trains like vande bharat,amrit bharat,namo Bharat...track upgradation,1900km new operational rail tracks....so it take time ... Think if Congress had started it by 1990s or 2000s....

1.train avg speed should be increased to 100 KMPH: to achieve this IR needs alternative routes/signaling/newgen coaches. 2. Figure out those trains which are always sold out. increase frequency.

What needs to be understood is that even if Freight trains are treated as second class citizen on tracks today they still occupy the tracks. Prioritization of schedule and occupation are 2 different aspects. So as DFCs come online we can reduce the freight trains from the current lines and that will automatically add space for passenger trains. Also, given the population it might make sense to continue to keep the aging stock to increase regional connectivity by converting them to higher capacity stocks (jugaad conversion). Introduce new trains like Vande bharat sitting and sleepers to cater to HIG/HMIG category at speed for example Bangalore to Goa, Mumbai to Goa is a huge sector that now runs across 12 months, however still we lack good rail connectivity forcing people to take flights. Adding lucrative Weekend trains will not only help Goa but also help the airports to be free for longer haul flights.

Yes, I also shifted from sleeper to 3rd AC, and now I can't go back to sleeper, having seen its miserable condition (due to overcrowding of course). I believe that we need to make people understand that yes, railways is the backbone of the country but there are several other ways to travel. And from the governments' side as well, they should try to make available more and more long & short distance public transport and make people aware about it. Increasing capacity will only attract more passengers and more immigration, and that loop will go on, that's my thought on it.

Imo, that's because the ordinary trains follow old design wherein the coaches weren't interconnected, whereas, the modern AC train coaches are indeed interconnected

Utmost need is for laying new tracks, and upgradation of older tracks and signalling for higher speed. New trains don't make sense if tracks are overcrowded.

That's what I was about to say that look at the bigger picture here as you gave an example that people are upgrading there mode of transportation and just like that if new trains are getting produced new planes are coming too and that too in hundreds let alone other companies but these numbers are only from 2 airlines indigo and air india. Talking about the roads, I have been traveling to and fro Mahamarg and monitored the speed of the buses; they won't even come below 100 kmph and the journey in any modes is becoming smoother with every day.

ईश्वर चरणी प्रार्थना करता हूँ मैं कि आपकी हर मनोकामना पुरी करें...सदगुरू जी धन्यवाद...सदगुरू जी यहाँ मेरे विचार से अति आवश्यकता हैं जहाँ सबसे क्राउडेड रेल ट्रेन हैं वहाँ वहाँ जादा ट्रेन को पहले बढाया जाए बारा डबा ट्रेन पंधरा डबा करने वाली रेल ने सीर्फ बारा डबा ट्रेन चला रहें हैं और वो भी अभी भी कम ही हैं वहाँ जादा ट्रेन सुरू करेंगें तो सामान्य नागरिक जो नौकरी जाने आने की समस्या हैं वह राहत भरी होंगी...कृपया जादा क्राउडेड एरीया को समझ के रेल्वे मिनीस्टर जी ने इस पर भी कुछ फोकस करना चाहिए....भारत माता की जय वंदे मातरम् जय महाराष्ट्र वंदे मातरम्

A new type of railways system should be implemented. There should be a main line where only major junctions and hubs will exist. Every passenger service station should be a pull out station from the main line. On the main line ,trains should be clubbed and move in common direction with 1000-2000 coaches. No trains will stop/pull into a station between 8:00 PM -6:00 PM. Every train should have water and pantry to be able to run 1000 Kms at a go. Capacity would be unlimited and instead of trains coaches will be book at the stations for the destination.

Tracks upgradation for minimum 180-200 kmph at least is must. 50% of the tracks has to be elevated to run smoothly without any level crossing.

Around Howrah division, Eastern Railways, there are literally 100s of LHB rolling stock just sitting idle in small stations. We don't get to see Duronto LHB coaches anymore on Duronto trains, but I've seen around 40 Duronto LHB coaches just lying like that. All look new and are from 2k15, 16, etc. What a wastage

@@Anonymous-tm7jp maybe, but there should be something done, right? Almost 100 new LHB coaches lined up for the past 2 years. Most are manufactured after 2016. Few 2019 coaches also I've seen. That's loss to taxpayer money

Where there is double track railways should add 2 more tracks and also acquire land for 2 more if available. Our railways is overburden by 2 lanes and they can make profits even if there are six lanes,also the average speed should be 160km and max speed to 220 km except dedicated corridor for bullet trains.

my indian railway experience has been worsening over time where the sleeper class has been completely converted in general class we cant even go to toilet, indian railways have so much potential as people are ready to give money but cant bec of waiting lists. I love traveling in trains but it doesnt seems a good option now

@powertrain According to my observation people are ready to pay if railway provide them confirm seat to their destination. During vacation and festival season people from UP Bihar are pay agent extra money for confirm ticket. So it's totally wrong that people don't have money just give them facility they will pay for that.

Upgrading most areas interlocking system to electronic. Construction of new signalling system. Dedicated frieght corridors. Before 2016 most budget was spent on pension only no extra capex for infrastructure. After Demonetisation Railway got 50 percent budget increase every year for infrastructure.

Conservative planning is okay. Overcapacity will have drastic consequences. There is something called bullwhip effect, railways must avoid that. After a point of time, they should go ahead with aggregate planning

Sleeper train speed 120/130km tak hoti hai. New train ki speed 130km upar se sitting train or ticket price 3× jada. Purani train hi behtar thi.

Ticket less is almost 0.5%. But matter is that no progress was made timely. Even bypass rail links are not made like reversal may be avoided at Gajraula station. Moreover bus transportation is heavily costs. Give free permit to run buses on all routes

India overcrowded country h. Highway ko to car hi flood kar degi. Wo bhi upto 300 km tak. Bus zyada successful nahi hogi. Uski capacity kam hoti hai aur long distance intercity hi chal pati hai. Airplane bhi sirf 180 seat ka hi mostly hota hai aur minimum 500 km ke liye feasible hota h. Train to chahiye hi. Bogie ka design improve karna hai, seating capacity barhana hai, vande bharat ke coach extra lagane se speed bhi bargegi, capacity bhi. Puri train vande bharat ki karne ke bajay coach add karne se quick relief milega.

See I agree that many time there are no seat left so people stand but let's not forget that some Indians also have a bad mentally thinking that they can travel for free. So until government ensures that person without ticket can't travel until then the problem of overcrowding want solve.

This problem wouldn't have interrupted if India had fertility rules for some states like Bihar which has fertility of 3.0. Now, it's too late though and this additional money (which could've been avoided) is the option.

Track expansion par dhyan do, deen dayal station se Patna koi bhi train ro deti hai,mail /superfast trains ki speed 20 km/hr tak rehti hai, MEMU ki to baat hi choro, Patna se ddu junction tak other than DFC kam se kam 6 rail line chahiye total route par excluding stations
