Heyy, great outlook on people in general and a great reflection into the song as well. Adnan Dhool is the singer who wrote and composed and sang this song. He’s part of the duo from Soch - the band! Same guy who sang Bol Hu in Nescafé Basement. He’s crazy talented and has collaborated a lot with Xulfi. He’s still collaborating with him in Coke Studio Season. He sang a song in Season 14 too. Also, he’s a brilliant lyricist esp when it comes to Punjabi. This particular dialect of Punjabi is Saraiki. It’s a very in your face song; an experience that only expats feel - esp the first generation expats. I have not visited Pak for 27+ years now. But this song tugs on your heart strings because there are so many people away from their immediate families and working hard all by themselves so that their families can live okay in their respective countries. Hats off to Soch the band and Adnan Dhool for such amazing writing 👏. Have you heard the Bollywood song “Awari?” That’s an original by Soch the band and was later on incorporated in Bollywood movie Ek Villain. Bol Hu was also incorporated later on in Bollywood movie “Malang.” Just an FYI.. 😊

@@thakurbhai2024 are you talking about the Awari song? Would love for you to do the reaction to the original sung by Soch from Nescafé Basement era? I don’t know if Nescafé Basement channel has that song but I know I have seen a couple other KZbin channels with the song in Adnan Dhool’s voice but let me tell you: it’s just so surreal in both versions. The movie version was sung by Pakistani singer Momina (female) and Adnan gave the limiter male vocals whereas the original is of course all sung by Adnan. Prachi Desai has been a fav actor for me for a while and her expressions were just bang on in the song from exuding the pain of being abused by others and correlating it with Ritesh’s internal turmoil and heartache too. Retish was also fabulous in the song. Anyhow, pls feel free to reach out to me if you have any queries. Would love to lend any help that you may require but trust me, you are doing a fab job at this by yourself anyways. Does KZbin has a messaging section too?
