Own the language dude!! Urdu is not just Pakistani, its Indian too. Its actually more Indian than Pakistani. I remember as a child i used to watch a Luknow based urdu channel, just because of the quality of the Urdu language there. Back then our local cables carried Indian channels too.

@@khipksy1888 Yes, you're so right. Also we do have DD URDU and I remember DD BENGALI reading news headlines in Bengali, Hindi and Urdu also the weather forecast. Moreover, the origin of Urdu was basically to have a court language mostly used for court writing (near Lucknow and Delhi area)

@@SR-xz7nz it's true that only 5% of people is Pakistan can speak pure urdu but your claim becomes wrong at origins of these languages, urdu has a very different background due to to mostly arabic influence upon it along with the influence given by people who travelled from regions like mongolia,tajikistan,turkemenistan etc and has grammer rules and translation emerging arabic language

@@SR-xz7nzdon't speak rubbish dude when you have no idea about anything.... urdu is language that has some influence of Sanskrit as well... but it has more influence of Arabic and Persian as this language got evolved in the times of Mughals who were Persian speakers mostly... And in Pakistan, Lahore has more contribution for this language than any other part this country... and Lahore is a Punjabi city.... It's upto you what you actually consider pure Urdu, coz you can't even understand Pure Urdu even a bit if you consider classical Urdu as pure one

You are absolutely correct about Urdu being such rich and poetic language. The original meaning and intensified lyrics got lost in translation by 90%. The original lyrics would pierce the heart. There is no way you listen to Pakistani OST and does not feel every word in your heart. I always ends up crying and bawling over these lyrics.

Urdu is called "the Queen of languages" N also "the language of Queens" Urdu poetry's history is far back than the actual Urdu language This is a unique thing to this language It is called Reekhta N Our poets like Iqbal is known as "Poet of the East" We have such a rich literature N don't mix it with Hindi Even 90% of Bollywood songs n movies are actually in Urdu not in Hindi They did not accept that but the fact is fact. A side note: I'm native urdu speaker but a bunch of us knows Arabic n Persian languages. Although Urdu is so rich but it cannot beat Arabic n Persian. These are far richer than Urdu. You never find the Arabic like expression in any language of this planet.

Urdu has Sansikrat grammar but it contains a lot of Arabic and IRANIAN"farsi" Turkic and Sansikrat words.

♥️🫶🏼🇵🇰 Sang e Mah means Moonstone in Urdu . Atif’s character in this was loosely based on Hamlet . He is also nominated for best actor category for his performance . Loved every minute of Sang e Mah ♥️🫶🏼

They say Pakistanis 🇵🇰 are born with two natural gifts 1. Beautiful Handsome Looks 2. Beautiful soul touching singing voices . Most of our actors are singers too , we have abundant talent in both . Even our street singers are on another level . Ever since Bollywood banned Pakistani singers a few years ago Bollywood songs have gone downhill . They just remix old songs now or copy Pakistani songs ( which they have always done ) Pakistan Zindabaad 🇵🇰💪

Hi Guys, really enjoyed this first part of Pakistani OSTs. My absolute favourite ost is one you already reviewed today - Ae Zindagi. Nabeel Shaukat and Aima Baig are super talented singers. In part 2, please please do include the OST's of DO BOL (Nabeel Shaukat again), KABULI PULAO (Rahat Fateh Ali) and the one I heard on repeat endlessly - MUJHEY VIDA KAR (Shani Arshad and Yashal Shahid). Urdu is very poetic language and pakistani love to express feelings in hidden poetery alot ... OST are drama serial Songs only not movie or any other thing Most of these stories like many time inspire real life events or many time 90% story is true and in every region of pakistan the type of different cultures followed so guns and some complex issue are parts as well so darmas are ways to tell that also happen in different part of country. i know it's complicated but it is as it is lol ... love your podcast and enjoyed

The second ost is about two cousins. The man is from Village and woman from City areas. And the Male Character married her cousin forcefully on some conditions given by female character. And in the end the female starts to love him.

Urdu & Hindi are very similar and used interchangeably in India & Pakistan. Fun Fact: Urdu originated in Agra, India. At that time India and Pakistan were just India, but even according to today's geographics it originated in that region 🙌

A lot of Pakistanis don't like Atif because of his affiliation with bollywood. A lot of India's don't like him because he's Pakistani. In a world without these two nations feeling so bitter about each other, they'd agree that Atif Aslam's the greatest singer in all of subcontinent. The man's ability to capture and magnify emotions is unparalleled. Had it not been for the ban on Pakistani artists, Arijit would always remain in Atif's shadows.
