The Sidrat al-Muntaha (Arabic: سِدْرَة ٱلْمُنْتَهَىٰ, Sidrat al-Muntahā, ('Lote Tree of the Farthest Boundary') is a large lote tree or Sidr tree that marks the utmost boundary in the seventh heaven, which no one can pass. It is called Sidrat al-Muntaha because the knowledge of the angels stops at that point, and no one has gone beyond it except the Messenger of Allah. During the Isra and Mi'raj, Muhammad traveled with the angel Gabriel to the tree (where the angel stopped) beyond which Allah (God) instructed Muhammad about the five daily prayers.

This naat was originally made famous by Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan...he passed away 25 years ago, yet, if you look at many recent popular Bollywood, Lollywood, and many pop songs, you realize he still is ruling it all. Most of these songs/folk songs/qalaams etc like: Dam mast mast, Afreen Afreen, Akhiyan udeekdiyan, Mere rashq-e-qamar, Allah hu, Sanoon ik pal chain na aaway etc. (List is quite long), they were copied, ripped, stolen etc. from his songs. He is still the king of music in this part of the world, although he left us a quarter of a century ago!
