This is a dive I did at the Indian River Inlet in Delaware a few years ago.
this dive was around 2:00 a.m. and was about an hour long. I enjoy diving at night. There are less people fishing and no boats in the water making it a very relaxing dive.

I have been over the bridge and fishing at the inlet so many times in my life. Always wondered what it looked like down there! Thanks for filming this.

Thank you for uploading this footage. As an IRI fisherman, it has always been a fascination imagining what is down there. I have thought about doing this, but after seeing 7ft duskies and hooking a shark I backed out. Watch the whole thing mesmerized. This has really opened my eyes.

I’m a kayak fisherman...... on top is awesome watching bait and birds but at night underwater looks so good and the world of marine animals don’t seem to care much.... so awesome. Thanks!

I have grandparents in Bethany and go free diving for catch release hermit crabs and snail along with shell collecting off the beaches in Bethany down there, but I can never imagine true diving in the night like you have. Great work

How do you muster up the courage to dive in the inlet this at night? I once freedove in the Ocean City inlet during the day, but it was just so unsettling to walk down the rocks and go into that unfamiliar water. I couldn't go deeper than about 15 feet because I was too timid. I did see a little flounder hanging out in the rocks but I didn't shoot it. I'd explore so many unconventional underwater places if I could just get over my fear.

That's pretty cool, you could probably make a lot of money on lead weights and jigs, you must have been diving at slack tide because that current moves along pretty good through there.

Do to back surgery I did not dive last summer but the year before I pulled out over 400 pounds of lead. I melt them down and make fish, turtles, and seahorses out of them and give them away to the fishermen.

@@melissaamericafirst3098 I do not at this time. I gave everything I had away last fall. I should have some later in the summer. I need to get down and get more lead so I can make more.

How is it fighting that current? When I’ve been there it seems really strong.

The fascinating thing about your question is that you don't know why, and if you were told, it wouldn't help.
