Dear Captain Raman, You nailed it. Decades ago, I met a soldier of Azad Hind Fauj, who was working to build bales of grass at age over 75. His pension was 25 Rupees. Tragedy is that Indian Businesses are extremely greedy. Indian work place value the least of their workers capability, rather they would exploit it. Other tragedy is that Indian Armed forces are very docile with Indian politicians which are BTW very corrupt. Did any group of Army officers ever submitted any petitions to GOI for post service placement in civilian work place for ordinary Jawan in last 70 years?

1)Lakshya is another hindi movie..... little bit of academy life + and more abt military life 2) I failed 10 times in SSB before clearing it in my 11th attempt. I couldn't clear even the stage 1 SSB in my First 8 attempt... ( Thrice out in the screening round of ICG so it was 11th attempt) During this process I was also watching ted talks which included few ted talks of Rtd army off like Capt Raghu , Lt Gen ata hasnain, Major Gaurav arya etc One of the ted talk of capt Raghu sir I wached ,was on terrorism. I really liked it , made notes😉. I thought In my upcoming SSB , if I clear stage 1 and in case I get "terrorism" as of the topic in my lecturate task ( kind of extempore where u hv to speak on a topic out of 4, for 3 min) , I ll choose Terrorism and would speak on it ..but I got "reservation system ".😄 But in GD , one of the topic was on cross Border issues, I used the knowledge I gained from that talk in that group discussion 😉.. I m sure those points must hv fetched me few extra marks which helped in my recommendation. I still remember few points of that talk where sir says " Zero tolerance to Terrorism is a myth ,how can u hv zero tolerance to one crime and be intolerant to others" and he goes on giving examples. I thank capt sir from the bottom of my heart for explaining it logically .....🙏my cousin who is an officer in the Armed forces ,shared one story written by Capt sir called The Rope. I loved it . One must read it , it will send shivers down one's back. Well I couldn't join the services bec I was merit out ( less no seats in my branch ) But preparing , failing preparing again &then clearing SSB has changed my personality completely... Sir is right.....one must give ssb atlest once.. Even few civil servants like IRS, IAS officers hv joined army via TA entry in which max age limit is 42yr for both the gender. They serve only 2 month in the army and rest of the time in their respective services.....like Dhoni did last year.(He is also TA officer) Jai hind

I've attended SSB Bangalore and didn't get selected but nonetheless I can vouch for the fact the experience was extraordinary and I actually learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The tests are extremely interesting and we get to make very good friends in a short span of time. I still cherish those memories and yes these unique tests are not conducted anywhere else. I also feel everyone should experience it once.
