I've always made my cabbage rolls stuffed with a lentil & veg mixture & rice,in a pasta style tomato sauce.but this will make a nice change with all that flavour.i will definitely make this when it's cooler & winter here & those veg are in season.greetings from Australia 🇦🇺.

Can’t wait for winter. Looks delicious! I love stuffed vine leaves, but I haven’t had stuffed cabbage leaves. Reminds me of a favourite Ottolenghi recipe for stuffed aubergine in dal.

Intractable carnivore here, but this is definitely on next week's menu. Great to see someone else squashing empty tins to keep the lid inside; I'm on blood thinners, hence paranoid about accidentally finding the lid in the washing-up water :)

How can one avoid the coconut milk in this recipe?

You replace it with more vegetable stock or use cashew cream (cashews blended with water). Or add some vegan yoghurt for the creamyness :)

Yeah that should work, maybe add 200ml and then a little extra veg stock
