Indian students in Ontario have no jobs

I had moved to Canada in 2013 and did diploma in centennial college, Toronto. After 1 year of study, I moved to calgary that is 2014 because at that time, the time to process ainp was 2 months in calgary. When I actually moved to calgary, they changed the time of ainp from 2 months to 6 months. I was still happy because I had left with 8 months of w. Permit. I didn't find job in Electronics for 2 months in calgary even though applying on jobcanada portal, workopolis etc. So i started working in a subway restaurant and applied for ainp from subway restaurant. After applying for ainp from subway i got several calls from companies dealing in Electronics, but I couldn't join because I applied ainp from subway. But immigration dept changed the rule of processing the ainp from 6 months to 8-12 months after I applied for ainp. They changed the rule of processing 6 months to 8-12 months after it was 3 months already when I applied for ainp. Therefore, when I applied, rule of processing ainp was 6 months(lets say Jan) and they changed it after 3 months (lets say April) saying, now it will take 8-12 months. After few days, they said more applications came, si processing time is 2 years. After few days more, they had written on their website, unlimited time because more files coming. The injustice they did for me: when I applied ainp processing time was 6 months. After 3 months, they changed it to 8-12 months. They should have processed my file in 6 months because when I applied time was 6 months. May be for new guys they can change the time to 8-12 months or 2 years or unlimited time. I applied in March or Feb 2014 when time of processing the ainp was 6 months. Then i moved to India in 2015 and they replied me via email in Jan 2016 that provide your last month payslip but i didn't have last month payslip because I was in India at that tym. So, they discarded my file. That is total dictatorship. My advice to the students is that try to get w. Permit of more than 2 years.

@@ahmedshahnawaj4513 u can get lmia but you have to pay 20,000-40,00$ to employer and if you are lucky it can be free or very low cost but you have to find employer when you get 1year w p because it takes time so you have to start early or you can continue your study it would be more better

I immigrated to Canada 8 months ago as a student, luckily i was able to find 2 part time jobs but the reality is many students find it hard to find a part time job. Many students have no option but to work in factories as cheap labourers via employment agencies. Sometimes i think Indians are too obsessed with the west and that is the primary reason why they come to canada. I personally think Indians can do better in their own country as it is growing very fast. Canada may seem to be nice and beautiful country (and it is) but as an immigrant you will struggle and it is somewhat difficult to adjust. Finally it depends upon your perception and everyone has their own views!

The 70s, 80s, 90s had the most opportunity in Canada. The economy started going down hill after 2000. Only Alberta had good economy due to the oil sector. The truth is the good jobs are just not there in Canada anymore. It is even hard for whites to get good jobs. A lot of Canadians move to America or overseas for jobs. I see a lot of Indian students struggling here. The rich Indians in Canada have been here a while or have good contacts. The bad Indians in Canada are crooks and have the worst behaviour. Many people do not like them. I dont like when good Indians struggle and the bad Indians get success. America is the best place in the world for opportunity and jobs.
