I have some photos that my precious late son took the year he returned to the US. Some are Temples in India and Nepal; others from a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. All are extremely ornate and detailed with both color and intricate carvings. My eldest and I wanted to TRY and sketch and paint. It did NOT go well! 😂. I finally settled on Potala, from a distance (not much, but enough that I could just suggest detail

How long were you all there? I would think all the detail in some of those sketches would take quite a long time to do.

It would probably take max 2 hours to complete big sketches. 1 hour+ is probably the usual amount of time for sketching
