People there are hard working,kind, mostly vegetarians, honest .unlike us malayalees , gujaratees have water shortage but grow everything in fields . Visited 4 years back. Loved their Thali with lots of Colorful items. This guy cooks like a MAHARAJA on his throne 😅

Great to see you back after such a long time! Welcome! I love your recipes and wonderful cooking. But it looks like you are not cooking in the field anymore, with your basket of vegetables and drawing water from the well. I miss that. I felt like I was in the village field also. It took me away from New York City and brought me back to my roots. Please do not become like another ordinary cooking show. Your channel was unique. It was being real. This is just my opinion. Thank you.

Welcome back beta🙏 So lovely to see you back just in time for plentiful vegetables- winter certainly has its benefits! What is plentiful this year? Are you going to be making something with methi, Ravaiya, turia? These have appeared in my Indian shop in Essex so would be lovely to have new variations of cooking with them! Great to see your family, especially my dear vahurani, bless you both! And don’t disappear for long periods! I rely on your traditional recipes, I am not into 30 types of masalas and lot of sugar! Prefer what our grandmas cooked - sugar free!

Love your cooking, but it isn't "village cooking". This is cooking straight out of a Michelin star. You have my total admiration. My only complaint against "Indian cooking" is the amount of chilli added to almost every dish. Chillies came from South America with Vasco da Gama. It isn't really that authentic to use chilli in every dish when it has been in common use for only 2-300 years. It has ruined every Indian palate apparently? I hope not. Pepper and all its derivatives are authentic Indian and what should be used for authentic Indian cooking. Why not use more pepper? I notice even the Brahmins in the south are using chilli and garlic.
@CrazyforIndianFood
@CrazyforIndianFood Жыл бұрын
Yes very true but now it's part of our life. We use black pepper in lots of dishes as well, due to hot weather conditions black pepper can be too hot to use. And for most of us expensive too.
