Good to see people still consider spending time over the weekend to prep for the week and still prefer home made food! Otherwise these days I am seeing people eating outside a lot on daily basis and it's becoming a new normal. I live in US, work 5 days a week from day to night and I also prep over the weekends. Sometimes I even cook something for 2-3 over the weekend and also make dosa/idli batter every weekend which helps for quick breakfast or dinner and is healthy too. All my friends eat outside on daily basis and they are jealous that I cook everything Indian style because they are way lazy to it themselves. I am always satisfied with meals whereas they are always craving for proper Indian food.

I do idli dosa batter, groundnut powder chutney mix, boiled Toor Dal Paste for sambhar or Rasam, 1 gravy curry, 1 vegetable chutney and 1 dry curry. Breakfast usually is bread and omelette. Dinner goes with idli or dosa or chapati. Week done!

Pre prepping is the best. I do this too. My mom says it helps so much in the kitchen. The issue is washing so many Fridge containers Once every week 😂. If you have dishwasher no problem. Else they have to be washed by hand. But it's fine. Cooking is so much faster and easier. What takes one hour takes 15-20min flat. Especially in summer and very cold winters. No one wants to spend all day in kitchen in such weather.

बहोत सुंदर...मैं सालोंसे ऐसा करती हूं...हफ्तेकी सब्जी और बाकी सारी तैयारी....लहसून छिलके,मुंगफल्ली पावडर,धनीया जिरा पावडर,कुछ पेस्ट वगैरा...खाना बनाते समय बिलकुल आसानीसे हो जाता है....हां छुट्टीका दिन काममेंही चला जाता..मगर आसानी हो जाती....कबर्ड सेट करना वगैरा सब काम संडे को करना...कभी घुमने फिरने नही गयी...एखाद बार गये भी तो हफ्ताभर फिर बहोत गडबड हो जाती थी...अब रिटायर्ड होनेके बादभी संडे घरका ये काम करकेही रखते.😁हफ्ताभर फिर निवांत रहते...
