Indian Women Politicians Speak Out On Online Abuse

Every day, women on Twitter face a barrage of abuse: from racist and sexist attacks to rape and death threats. Online abuse has the power to belittle, demean, intimidate and eventually silence women. Amnesty International India verified online trolling on Twitter through a study that decoded over 1 lakh tweets sent to 95 women politicians in India during the 2019 General Elections.

I think alka Lamba should not say anything about abuse because we have seen her tweets about the athelete Yogeshwar dutt, where she is abusing him and his family. The language she had used there is disgusting..!

I think its legal to abuse in india both online and offline.A lesbian lady sits next to bathroom in our apartments, sends vulgar messages to some people based on what she hears, and sometimes they reach our office managers too :) I dont know if they do with all their women employees though, but earlier it use to be only on work wise vulgarity, now its turned out to be residential vulgarity also. 24x7 they own us. Nice to know :)
