I'm glad Shankar didn't take a purely commercial approach with this film. Instead of a fantasy superhero, he chose a disciplined character to combat corruption who is made of fun off through social media nuisance. The makeup isn’t an issue; as Senapathy uses disguise to fight corruption. Comparing it to "Indian 1" is unnecessary, while some criticize the film’s logic, may be they are all first time movie watchers. The so called stretched Senapathy’s dialogue highlights the impact of corruption that is widespread across India. Sujatha, the writer, has passed away, and it’s a pity that so many excellent dialogues in the movie are overshadowed by audiences’ preconceived expectations of dramatic elevation scenes. The film also contains numerous emotional moments, it is unfortunate audience claiming they did not resonate with viewers or fail to connect with them. Siddarth’s performance is notable.

Plenty Wrong with #Indian2: 1. When Indian 2 started, Kamal had just launched his political party. It would have been a movie used for his political mileage as he built himself up as a strong alternative, but with his recent alliance with DMK, him coming and preaching against corruption leaves the audience in splits. 2. When you have made it as a single movie and then decide to divide it into two parts, you could have at least made it crisper by removing redundant scenes, making the first movie run for 2 hours and 30 minutes max. The movie is filled with lots of filler content that deliberately stretches it. 3. The Siddharth family arc was really good; we saw what would happen to a person if he followed Indian Thaatha's principle. You should have actually explored that journey alone with more depth. What is the need for having four tracks where all the friends end up doing the same thing in their respective families, stretching another hour? 4. In part 1, Senapathy had his reasons to kill the people he killed, and we also had a cathartic feeling when it happened because we were emotionally invested. Now why would I be interested in Senapathy killing four different bad guys just because they are "mega corrupt," with ridiculous varmam styles and extensive explanations? These lavishly mounted scenes could have been five-minute montages instead of some one-hour extended scenes. 5. Senapathy is already heavily loaded with prosthetics, and he applies a disguise on top of it, leaving him looking nothing like a human being. Why would such a weird-looking guy not be easily spotted and monitored in public places? 6. In Indian, Senapathy talks very little and walks like an old man. He does extensive stunts only in three scenes - interrogation with Nedumudi Venu, escaping with a cylinder, and the airport explanation. He is over 100 now, does acrobatics like Dhoom 2's Hrithik, and walks like some 40-year-old man, surprisingly getting younger with age. Here, he keeps talking non-stop. The climax chase sequence and bare body are just way over the top. 7. There is not even a single memorable dialogue in the entire movie. We have a lot of badly written, ridiculous dialogues like "Karumam illa Varmam," "Indian illa Pan-Indian," "Nee saabathala gundu aairka." The first part was filled with iconic dialogues. 8. The songs and the BGM work is abysmal. Anirudh just keeps repeating "Senaaa-aaa-pathy" and "Shakashaka" BGM in all big scenes. The only point where the BGM worked is when it reused Rahman's original music. The only good song in the movie - "Paaraa" - is also being used only in the third part. 9. There is a detailed explanation of several things happening across India that could have easily been chopped off. 10. To top it all off, there is no iota of logic anywhere. In 1996, Senapathy could get away, but with all the CCTV and surveillance cameras, how could he roam around in public places and kill VIPs like eating a cake? What nonsense was it with making a man feminine and getting six-pack abs with Varmam? 11. You can just go on and on about the negatives, but the only good things in the movie are Siddarth's conflict with his family and how it affects him, the core idea of people turning against Indian Thaatha when they adopt his ideas, the little throwback to the original, and the chemistry/game between Senapathy and Krishnaswamy. Surreal fall for #Shankar, and this is the worst #KamalHaasan movie I remember seeing.

So many memorable dialogues in this movie (A few appreciable and thought provoking and a few comical yet impactful) Netflix re-watch and figure it out, it may not look good if I bring it out :) Come Back Indian, Thatha Varaaray, Calendar Song and of course Paaraa…in repeat mode at home and most of them I have known are full of praise…May be not at Par with Indian 1, but I can always listen to that, the current flavor is absolutely enjoyable. Towards the end of the movie, most characters successfully identify him despite his disguise. Given our concerns about the movie's length, is it necessary to delve into every detail of how he managed to pull off the disguise? Additionally, does the age of the actors affect their ability to perform stunts, come on 'age is just a number and it a movie not a reality show. Viewers might have found this more acceptable if it were a Hollywood production, since it is Indian movie with the title Indian creates uncalled for critic.
