I think I agree. If he takes a big sophomore jump then the IU hype makes a lot of sense to me

If I were IU I just can’t see how it makes a lot of sense to have Ballo and MR play a lot together. Rice will be so much better w guys like Mgbako and Goode on the wings.
@FeedthePost27 күн бұрын
The one hope I have is that Ballo has never played much more than 25 mpg. So there’s a scenario where Reneau/Ballo share the floor for 10-15 a game which feels reasonable. The rest of the time will be one of them at center That is banking on Woodson going to that though
@ba475012 ай бұрын
I think Rice is in the draft next year. Which will benefit Carlyle the following year. Carlyle is a smidge over 6'0" in reality. He is going to be a point in the 26' draft. Hes freakishly athletic. Dont sleep on Tucker. IU will play alot with Mgbako and Goode at the 4 because neither can defend the perimeter, but Tucker can very well.
@FeedthePost2 ай бұрын
I’m really high on Rice, think he ends up being a top 3-4 PG in Big Ten this season. I’m hoping Tucker ends up getting a consistent role because he could be good off the bench
@falconhoward4032Ай бұрын
To your point about having a wing guy play at the 4 more, I believe that will happen a lot too because I don't think Reneau and Ballo fit well together

Goode may or may not help IU with shooting. He looks like a carbon copy of Miller Kopp to me. A tall enough 3, a good shooter on uncontested shots, but with a slow release, so doesn't get that many uncontested shots, and not a good enough dribbler to dribble around the aggressive close-out. Going to depend totally on how strong the paint game is. If they are good in the paint, then there will be dump outs to guys open on the wings. Simple as that. Have to totally wait and see.

In Indiana's best 20 years of bball they won 3 championships. In Purdue's best 20 years, they made it to the final four - once. Even with the most dominant player in the history of modern college basketball, poor Purdue couldn't hang a banner.

@@r3cursion254 talk to me about things that happened in the past 30 years please...I don't think anyone other than those on Medicare care about what happened in college basketball in the 80s and 70s...and truthfully neither should you....those championships aren't paying any bills nor gaining you any recruits.

No faith that Woodson will have this team ready to play at the beginning of the season. If IU starts two post players, then they will not be playing in the NCAA tournament. Goode must play at least 25 minutes per game. If Cupps plays, then he must make three point shots.
