Indiana Beach After the Pandemic? (summer 2021)

My daughter and I made our annual trek to Indiana Beach once again in 2021. And this is what happened.
Indiana Beach is in Monticello Indiana. It is quite a... location... for a beach property, but it's also a ton of fun. It has those old school vibes and truly is a remnant of days gone by.
It closed two years ago and reopened again for the 2020 season with a new family (rather than a business) for it's owner.
That family has put some time and effort and money into this tourist spot and there has been a noticable difference over the last couple years.

I highly recommend you make it down with a buddy or by yourself! I did that two weekends ago. I reserved a campsite with power and water, set up my tent, spent the evening at IB til closing then enjoyed the live band (Sticky Scissors) til about 1:30 am along with a few drinks! I had such a great evening. Then I woke up at 8am, packed up camp, ate some breakfast and spent the entire day riding rides, enjoying the food, people and atmosphere. I have a season pass with me and my son and can’t wait to get back up again in a couple of weeks!

i am so old...i remember in the 60's mini golf on both ends...a great arcade....go cart track down by the octopus ride...ski shows....the first haunted house....the roof garden with great bands like the buckinghams and turtles....all gone

Great video! I also was there many times as a child. Great memories, and again with my kids who are adults now. 5 weeks ago I became a grandpa and can't wait to go back!❤

I remember the mini golf on the point. one of 2 in the park when I was growing up. I also miss the Galaxy roller coaster.

14:20 As a kid, that was my favorite thing there. Buying a bucket of rubber balls and shooting the crap outa the boats. It has been a good 7-8 years since ive visited, but theres very little that looks changed other than some fresh paint here and there. Hopefully the closing and reopenning brings in new rides and attractions.

Jeff Klocke, director of marketing and sales at Pacific Park, said the “no single riders” policy has been in effect since July of 2007 when the manufacturer of the wheel, Chance Rides Manufacturing Inc., issued a service bulletin backed by the California Occupational Safety and Health Division (Cal/OSHA) that ordered all operators to only allow two riders or more. The bulletin was prompted by an incident in Stockton, Calif. when a 6-year-old boy plunged 90 feet to his death from the top of a Ferris wheel while his mother watched from below at the San Joaquin County fair.

Woah!! I don’t know why they let me on by myself last time. I guess some one wasn’t paying attention, or they’re more worried about younger customers. But I can see how a windy day with an unbalanced Ferris wheel could result in disaster.

Demon Drop at Dorney Park makes me laugh. When I heard CP had a Demon Drop shirt, I was like “I think I need that”. I even wore it to the Maritime Museum/Battery Park today (was going to do the Merry-Go-Round Museum too, but they had to close today last min, still had an adventure in downtown Sandusky.

You definitely can, but the staff at Cedar Point is more vigilant about telling people to button up their shirts or at least wear them over their necks.
