@kerry This is what we at Iowa have gotten to enjoy and soak in since 2021. The year before was the COVID year so that sucked. When commentators are stopping her for interviews or post game pressers, Caitlin has no fear of saying what she wants/needs to speak about. She will compliment her teammates and her coaches before she ever talks about herself. She will even throw something in about the team they're playing against. She isn't just basketball smart, she is brilliant, but she doesn't shy away from some good fun either. I hope Indiana is thrilled as much as we have been at Iowa. The Fever has a LOT of fans a few states away now!!!

Thank you for your appreciation of Caitlin's passing along with her shots. She will find open players to slingshot a ball to if she doesn't have a good shot. She is not a ballhog, she is a point guard who has such an amazing vision of the court, seeing plays before they happen, and be ready for that pass.

I am curious about the 3-on3 work and who gets paired up with Boston and CC. I am guessing another big (PF) who can set some double screen or do some work on your off ball screens. Coach must decide on starting 5 soon so that they work out the plays and cutting. Celeste must be a third scorer to justify her playing time. I don't know the team well enough to guess who will be the second ball handler to do fast break 3s and layup.

@hanidallou You do realize that the Fever has more than 12 players and they're having to make cuts. The team can have no more than 12 players and no less than 11 players, so while I would LOVE to see Kate in a Fever uniform, it's just nice to know they can stay in contact. If Kate is part of Vegas's 12, I will be super happy.

Aliyah is so funny. I love that she's gotten stronger. I want to know how much she deadlifts! I saw her in an interview with Chelsea Gray last year and Gray mentioned how focusing on her body really took her to the next level professionally. You could see the wheels turning in Boston's head when she was talking. Learn from your vets.

Hit me funny that I am watching a prepress conference for the WNBA and have Indiana Fever's schedule written on my calendar. Have never watched a WNBA game and now cannot wait. Hope this team bonds like the Iowa team... sounds like they all are... they will all need to support each other with the way the other WNBA teams are building up the rivalry with Indiana so they can get the attention and seats filled like Fever, too.

If Aliyah Boston is pulled for high post too much, rebounds will suffer, have to have offensive rebounds to make the playoffs. Indiana now has 2-3 accomplished outside shooters, but if they aren't finding the groove at times, really need that inside presence after the shot. IMO
@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews17 күн бұрын
She's 6'5", she'll be fine.
@user-ji4gz8qs1e16 күн бұрын
@@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews Yes, agree, Boston is a big gal 225 lbs /6'5". Coach Christie mentioned playing her out more, and high post since she is getting better at shooting outside, but that really isn't her main strength.

She's gonna be dishing off some sick dimes to Boston all day every day baby. She's gonna be Steve Nash on that damn court.
@survivrs16 күн бұрын
@hanidallou Caitlin IS the point guard, same position she has played for years, since AAU ball before she was a teenager. She has such amazing court vision, and it won't take long for people to see how valuable she is. She was the driving force for Iowa, they went to the National Championship 2 years in a row, broke SC's winning streak in Aliyah's senior year in the final 4, losing to LSU, and lost this year to SC, only it was the championship game.

Coach Sides... how tight will the reigns be on Caitlin? Are you willing to let her shoot "at will", or will there be limitations?

🚦 Green light, baby!

Do you think Steve Kerr told Steph "don't take as many shots"? 😂 Come on, Steve .
@survivrs16 күн бұрын
@steveking Green light all the way baby!!! Bluder tried to reign her in as a freshman, but she was taking them and making them. By her sophomore year, Bluder pretty much let her do what she did, and at several interviews with Caitlin, her standard response when asked about it, Caitlin says that "she let's me be Caitlin". It was easy to see who on the floor had things under control, but Lisa always had things to talk about when they came in for a timeout or at halftime, and they all paid attention, so Caitlin will do what she is told. She has great respect for her coaches.
