Indiana Public Land Whitetail Buck Success! Mature buck taken on the first day from a mobile setup!
Five of us from the SBO crew head to Indiana for our first ever out of state public land archery trip. Inspired by the shows we watch (The Hunting Public), the hunt was a great success and undoubtedly will be added to the list of yearly trips the SBO team is looking to make. Doug Wellman has some first morning success as the rest of us key in on sign and have encounters of our own.

Grab a mapping app (OnX or Hunstand), find the public land and just start walking brother. Giving out coordinates to spots is no fun for anyone.

We don't have public in maine we have privet land but hunt don't shot at my house

Nice buck but let them grow 2 more years men i live in maine we let them get 4 before we eat them

We only shoot 4 and older bucks at the home farms, but when hunting public it’s hard to know how old the deer really are, we felt this buck was probably 3 after we got to him. Awesome for a first time trip to new ground.

And I bet the eat like shit too.the older the worse the taste and they get to tough to chew
