You don’t have to call in for dispatch at wave. You can get dispatched by emailing your dispatcher the load you want. You only have to call when you have problems with a load.

I think that's the worst part about hauling campers is that you've got to go damn near to the Arctic Circle to pick them up. I've never been to that location but I have dropped off at a few Great American RVs. I actually dropped off at the one in Hammond Louisiana and I had to go to the Blue Beacon and get it washed before I delivered. It was pouring down rain when I got there and I called him and said you still want me to get this washed and they said yes. Prayers up for you brother

I am with Wave and the self dispatch rules are as follows. You have to have 25k miles and 10 different states delivered to. I have self dispatched while at home in AZ for a load in ID. The rules is you have to pick up by 11am the next day. I actually call my dispatcher more than I self dispatch just in case there are units that haven’t posted yet. I made my 25k miles and 10 states within 4 months and I am only running 2 weeks a month. Very easy to hit those parameters. Hope all goes well at VA

Update to Wave self dispatch rules. Just got an update from one of my referrals in class. New rule is you have to deliver to 10 different states and you can then dispatch. No longer need 25k miles.

With Wave and Horizon you have to have 25k miles and 10 different states before you can self dispatch but the mileage pay is higher.

It’s probably that non DOT fuel tank in the back of your truck that’s causing all your problems! 😂 It sucks when you hire people to do a job and they mess you around. That’s why I try to do all my maintenance and repairs myself. Stay safe out there brother!

So how did you like that had a hell of a good time and I hauled cars for GM since I was 23 years old and Iam 70 years old now and I miss the road and carhaulers stay in motels every nite because a motels are cheaper than leaving a car at the docks and they charge 1500 bucks per car to deliver !!

And 20?years ago the rate payed to drivers was over 1.25 dollars a mile and we only got paid when loaded that’s why our rate is so high because we had one way pay but I did this long enough that I had connections that I had loads both ways .
