Thanks guys for a game well played! I really think if we stay poised and on our game we can go far! Your fans believe in you! And good to see Race playing such a great game. He definitely leaves everything on the floor. Good luck on Sunday! Go Hoosiers!

Trayce Jackson-Davis is the best big man in the state of Indiana. He makes Zach Edey look like Michael Olowokandi.

Frankly after that performance, I think he's in contention for best big man in college basketball. He reminds me of Draymond Green, just much more polished offensively.

In fairness, Edey's supporting cast doesn't match TJD's supporting cast. Hood-Shefino and Thompson are better players than any of Edey's 2023 Purdue teammates. Both Edey and TJD are great scorers who force double teams. Edey is a better rebounder. TJD is a better shot blocker.. Edey reminds me of Yao Ming. TJD reminds me of "The Brow".

@@landonmyers5138 You've got a point. Thompson doesn't always look this good, but who on Purdue, other than Edey, is any good? Loyer? He's just average, IMO.

Wish IU had their senior PG... would be an entirely different discussion; as it is, they could still make a deep run if they play solid

@@stansmad I knew they’d be bounced early. They’re overrated. Edey isn’t half the player Davis is. All you have to do is double him and he turns the ball over.

For some reason the referees in college b-ball, and more flagrantly in the NBA, never call traveling on players any more. At the :29 mark Indiana's guard picks up his dribble, shuffles backward (still inside the 3-point arc), then shuffles backward more (to get outside the 3-point arc), then takes the shot. Not only did the referee, standing five feet away and watching, not call a traveling violation, but also allowed the 3-pointer even though the shooters foot was clearly on the 3-point line. It's even worse on drives to the basket where many players take three or four and sometimes five steps after picking up the dribble. Why have the rule if it's not going to be enforced? And don't get me started on players, especially guards, palming/carrying the ball.

@@professorxaviour3649 NO. He took ONE step and ONE dribble forward with his feint drive towards the lane. Then he picked up his dribble and took two little shuffle steps back. Then he took two more little shuffle steps back to get outside the 3-point arc. Slow down the video speed to .25 and watch it again.

You are correct! I have never viewed a game at such a late hour, and I've been watching IU since I was in high school. And, as a '73 alum, I must say the start time was unfair to the student-athletes, the fans, the officials, the tele viewers, the maintenance people, those who work concessions and everyone involved! It was inconsiderate & inexcusable! Can't we all be nice & kind?
