You do a great job Jack. In my opinion, you are the best trucking blogger on KZbin. The only recommendation I have is go back to your old introduction music, I miss it! The one where you wave as you're pulling out of the driveway and Old Red is swaying back and forth.

I believe you encountered a school trip. May is notorious up here in Mich. for the teens going to Cedar Point or Greenfield Village, a couple others....about sewers...I read a book about infrastructure called "ON The Grid" and he explained that sewer pipes are always placed underground with a tilt to assist the flow. BUT...that tilt HAS to be slight because experience has taught them that the more solid stuff will not stay in the flow and keep moving when the tilt is more than an inch or so per 100 ft. and clogs are more likely. Many underground electric pumps are used to assist...and mostly to LIFT the flow into the next section of pipe. Sounds like they have to place a pump that shouldn't have been necessary. I consider your videos one of my 'programs' now. It took me a minute to notice, but I don't hear swears in your videos. You're smart enough to think of the real word. Good work, sir.

I had the privilege of riding greyhound back in 98 when I went to work for CRST. I had to go from Oklahoma City back to Atlanta after orientation. It was a nightmare 36 hour bus ride! I met some really strange characters on that ride. I believe that will be my only ride with Greyhound.

Whenever I unloaded at a construction site, the men had a forklift type thingy called a “pettibone” with an extendable forklift that could reach into a 53’ trailer, and they did all the unloading, easy peasy in and out...that’s what she said OH SHIT , there is the blue pettibone, I spoke too soon haha good stuff man..
@floydfan59936 жыл бұрын
hi jack, FYI , during construction every job-site has a specific "bench mark" that all trades use in order to establish their various systems or structural elements of the building and all elevations are taken from this "bench mark" which may include footings, foundations and most importantly sewer and storm systems, seems like someone messed up on their math when sanitation system was being layed out, very expensive mistake....tc

They may have had two different contractors working on two parts of the sewer, you would expose the pipe you are working toward to make sure the pipes lined up, they may not have had the fall needed to meet up with the original pipe it looks like a flat area of ground

Curious why you don't go nose in when parking next to a reefer?
@charkswitlazers6 жыл бұрын
It's actually a little rude to do that to other drivers. having your trailer sticking out like that can cause a huge obstacle to drivers parking nearby when pulling out of a space. it can also be a hassle to back out when nosing in.

Jack, a question, do your truck stops not have HGV drivers only areas ? When I spent a lot of time on UK motorways you would not have tried to eat in the lorry drivers area, you’d have been growled at by everybody, both customers and staff, coach drivers were not reguarded as “real drivers” so no problem with coach parties. Also most pubs in those days with big car parks would have signs out saying “Coaches by appointment only” so staff could be put on for the occasion.
@TheHooters706 жыл бұрын
The older truck stops did have " Drivers only " sections. Sadly these truck stops are closing sit down to eat type restaurants and replacing them with fast food so the "Drivers only" sections are disappearing :(

I'm glad you fed the birds, because they feed us -IE Chickens, Geese, Ducks, Quail, etc......... When you compare a WaWa to a truck stop, I think per size, WaWa probably has a much higher profit margin. WaWa has way less maintenance, and probably sells almost as much gasoline and sandwiches as does a truck stop, & no showers to clean, all on about 1/2 Acre of real estate, what do you think? ............ Do you think Old Red got a complex parked beside that newer looking Volvo with the mud flaps inside? BTW, he may own more than one truck and is dropping the mud flaps off to repair another truck. A coordinator from Mercer told me she has a few drivers that own as many as 12 trucks, two woman drivers, and several man & wife team drivers and she handles 42 trucks currently. I also found out trucks with generators seldom have Regen Cycles.... Nicely shot Vlog Jack, thanks for leaving me ride along with you.
