He sure was given the draft picks, Over the last three drafts, the Bengals spent 8/10 of their top 100 draft picks on defense.

Y'all. Coordinators have to WANT to come to teams. We couldn't just "pick anybody that we liked", we had to hope that as many qualified candidates as possible applied and presented good resumes. Dennis Allen will be at another (probably better) NFL team next year and Wink ran like a 70% blitz rate which just isn't what this Colts team (nor any NFL team really) is built for. Anarumo had a top 5 defense for 1 of his 6 seasons; while yes, the stats are underwhelming, looking at the context of the deprived Bengals defense and the complete absence of really any talent gives him some serious grace. It's not like we really had any other choices, y'all. No point in whining about the hire when it has already been done. How about we let our defense do the talking for Anarumo next year.

@ maybe technically, but I don’t think that he’s sweating 2 million (MAX). Vic Fangio makes 4.5 mil, Irsay would happily buy the best DC in the business if it was that easy.

Hiring the guy who had a defense so bad it kept a top 5 offense out of the playoffs, and using the argument he was good when he had all pros is insane as hell. We dont sign FAs. We dont draft defensive stars at all. How is this supposed to be an improvement?

Not exited at all. As a Bengals fan also, the Bengals defense couldn't stop a cold all season. If they didn't have one of the most elite offense in the NFL, they would have been lucky to win 3 games
