@ he literally said the exact opposite. We will see if he actually does do anything different but he literally said he needed to bring new people to start today and literally said the secondary specifically. He also said bringing back everyone was a mistake.

Ballard is such a loser at FA. He laughed at spending 2 1st rd picks on Stafford, then he spent a 1st and a 2nd on Wentz! He could’ve signed Sneed last year and refused to pay $19 mil/yr for an All-Pro shutdown corner who won the Super Bowl twice. He sat on $25 mil salary cap last year. He’s been doing this for 8 years, he’s not going to change.

Colts don't need a first round CB, they need to pay a CB - they have plenty of young talent. Colts need a young TE and a young RB.

This would be great. I just don’t see a scenario where Warren hasn’t played his way into the top ten meaning they’d have to give up either their second or third round pick to move up and get him. If they could get land two of these three that is a massive win for Ballard

It depends on who the new DC is honestly. Colts may need pieces for a different scheme. I've had my fingers crossed for Warren/Skattebo/Watts for months. I honestly dont know if Warren will be there at 14. Warren is as good, if not a better all around TE prospect than Bowers imo. Bowers is better at some things, but Warren is massive, a great blocker, a decent route runner, and ridiculous contested catch winner. Loveland is a great option if Warren isnt available. Best case scenario this happens.

I would REALLY like those picks in the first three rounds. All 3 guys show on tape that they can play ball and aren't just the athletic guys with high upside that Ballard tends to fall in love with. I actually like our young corners (Jones, Womack and Brents) and think that they could most benefit from a scheme change paired with a veteran presence. If we can add an actual #1 corner and slide them all down the depth chart with Kenny in the slot they look much better. LBer is for sure a need along with the secondary but I am really hoping that we hire a DC that will bring a more aggressive scheme. Three years of watching Bradley's cover 3 with a 4 man rush and huge holes in the middle of the field has driven me crazy.

Tyler Warren is the best pick for the Colts. They desperately need CB/S help but they need to win this year and those positions usually take a few years to figure it out in the NFL

Don’t mind TE in the first but the first defensive player should be CB. I think we can get a Safety in FA and later in the draft. TE, CB, then best available LB or Safety in the next two rounds then I’d look for a pass catching RB in the 5th.

If I was the GM, I would trade off Ziare Franking to maybe Dallas and take their first round pick this year and maybe give them a 2rd or 3th round pick next year, with terms. Then pick up Chris Paul Jr out of Ole Miss, cause he is a dawg. The offense could use a TE, but Shane's offense doesn't really use TEs in the passing game. I believe that Shane does need to change his offensive scheme to make it easier for AR to do his thing. You either draft a QB that is good in your style of offense, or you have to change your offense to make the QB more comfortable in his first couple of seasons.

I think Ballard is in hot seat and I really think he is going to make a run for Travis hunter 4 consecutive years as bottom 3 pass defense. Bradley didn’t trust the corners enough to run man to man Which is why colts ran cover 3 so much and dropped the linebackers back into coverage A true cb1 would change the defense for colts And in turn buy more time for the pass rush to get home

As a long time colts fan having another rookie tight end is not the move we move back or get the best corner or safety on the board.... how are u goin to prioritize offense when we can't even get all our receivers on the field at once. Our defense lost us so many games

One strategy maybe and this might be naive on m part. Use the draft to bolster the offense which we hope will be growing Now that the Colts have fired Chris Ballard I trust that Shane Steichen will make the right picks in the draft. Richardson being a major uncertainty and it ends up being a bridge QB. Repair the defense with free agents. Yes TE and Tyler Warren is a good start.

Other teams scheme for the Colts by getting the ball out quickly and counting on the secondary playing back out of position and then missing tackles. It’s worked well . Makes it difficult to get sacks and pressures if they’re throwing screens and short passes 90% of the time. Drew Lock killed us with that. 7:14
