Hopefully this is a fun game for either side and not a boring tie like game 1 last year. We both have rookie Qbs that we all want to see progress in for future. Both teams have good to decent defences, either side fan base will say theirs is better. Our offense for both teams relatively new so to speak. Yeah hope my Colts win obviously, but its a rebuild year for them so just show progress on the field...and get JT back! Gonna be a close game with either side winning by one play or missed play so maybe a winning score by 3 points or a TD. Go Colts.

The colts weren’t winning that game with JT lol, the run blocking was absolutely horrid, the holes just weren’t there. The colts RB tandem last year averaged the same amount of yards per carry as Taylor did last year with more catches, receiving yards, and yards per catch. A running game has WAYYYYYY more to do with an offensive line than a RB unless you have Adrian Peterson, Derrick Henry, LaDainian Tomlinson, etc. JT isn’t in that class of RBs.

Another test for our depleted offensive line the Colts has sold players up front especially with Deforest Bunkner he going to be a handful. If CJ can just get some time in the pocket he can definitely attack the Colts secondary with his arm and hopefully scores some points. As for our defense I am confident that we can pretty much keep Anthony Richardson contain and in check. Will Anderson and John Gernard going to be all over Richardson all game long. The Colts the only other weapon they have since Jonathan Taylor is out is Michael Pittman and I can see Stingley shutting him down. Overall could be a competitive game but I see my Texans getting a W in their home debut and CJ going to throw for two TDs 28-17

Colts middle of the defense is amazing with Deforest Buckner and Shaq Leonard. The Texans line was overwhelmed by Baltimores front seven. The Texans do not have the receiver talent to go max protection. However C.J. Stroud had the highest QBR of all rookies last week despite that. Richardson will be facing an improved defense that held Baltimore to 179 yards passing and 105 yards rushing and sacked Lamar Jackson 4 times. I think Demeco realizes that the Colts best weapon in the absence of Taylor is Anthony Richardson and will try to take that away just as he was able to prevent Lamar from being the deciding factor. The game will be close. I take the Texans with home field advantage, a veteran defensive play caller who will go after Richardson, and CJ Stroud getting his first TD to give the Texans the edge. In the end it will be IN FAIRBARN WE TRUST……who will decide the game on a field goal. Take the Texans to cover the 1.5 spread against the Colts at home.
