Hi Shane, the Speedway is very much outside City of Indianapolis, I guess a 30-min drive from Indianapolis to the Racetrack, anyhow for non-locals (that includes EU or Aussie tourists for the F1 GP of Indianapolis) with a good GPS no issue whatsoever to get to the racetrack. I guess finding a parking space is the biggest problem when a major event takes place. Tomorrow is (statutory) Holyday in Canada, Thanksgiving, in the States in November, any Thanksgiving Holiday in Australia as well?

They have change the road layout at 2:02. There is a new roundabout that is connect to 16th Street, Main Street and Crawfordsville Road. You can't go to Georgetown Road any more.
