Nice to see Padhegaon railway station. Childhood memories revisited. My father was station master at this railway station in the 70's. The ticket window is the same what I had seen in the 1970s.

Hi Even my father was station Master at Padhegaon between 1972 to 75 His assistants were Mr.Bhanap, Mr Dudhediya.We had our platform quarters there.Drinking water was brought by a Kavadi.

Wonderful blogs as always !! one does not get a Million followers by being mediocre , one curious thing: how come you all never carry tea / coffee in thermos? I have never seen any of you ever drinking tea / coffee that way. it's true that it is not needed during travel in premium trains where food and drinks are plentiful, but in other normal trains, one should carry a thermos full of tea / coffee as being alert is very important for a blogger :) In my early years where i had to travel more than a hour by train to get to my college, i used to take tea in a small thermos. always felt better after having my tea on alighting at the station.

Satya bhai I also travelled in this train on same day 15th that too from KJM itself and just like u I also did tatkal booking at Malur and boarded at KJM. I was in S1 and with family so couldn't walk all the platform length. Otherwise I had taken a walk I would have noticed u. I missed the chance even when we were travelling for 20 hours in the same train. Regarding cleanliness even in Sleeper the coaches and toilets were clean all the way till shirdi. But the water in the train got empty by the time it reached Ahmadnagar. So this train has to get watering done at SUR or DD
