Hi, adding to what you just mentioned about Gurdwaras, in Pakistan there are many mosques and Mazars, e.g. Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh in Lahore ( my city ) where you can eat and sleep no questions asked. There is a saying in Lahore " agar khanay ka aur rehnay ka koi thikana na mile tu Data Sb chale jao " Data ki nagri, Lahore and across many cities in Pakistan it is the same.
