Your understanding of water cup in toilet was spot on. We do use water and our hand to wipe up after number 2. However some people also prefer water jets or bum guns instead of water cups. That way you don't have to use your hand

Great that a good number of Indians have water jets and water sprays. On the other side though the issue of open defecation still affects 500 million (50 crore) of our countrymen either because of lack of sanitation facilities or some cultural traditions holding people back from defecating in their homes. The movie Toilet was a great eye opener as an attempt to initiate change in India.

She's absolutely right about the toilet thing! That's generally done by people who don't have access to fancy toilet fittings. Most people however use a bidet everywhere and will never use their hands, he's obviously exaggerating to make it funny which is absolutely acceptable by us tolerant Indians all around the world :) As usual lovely reaction Jaby and family. I stayed in UK for couple of years and unfortunately couldn't pick the accent. I will miss the cockney accent of my ex girlfriend who made me bacon with Yorkshire pudding when I came home! Its always good to revive old memories while watching your videos Jaby

A little insight on our language usage... Toilet- is where we do the "dump" and pee.. Bathroom - is where we Bathe.... The bandra-worli sea link is a suspension bridge connecting the two regions in mummbai... It's a recent construction, and the point is that bangaladesh is sorta poor in economy hence maybe they don't have suspension bridges.. Where as the interest of the other "country" is in terms of "mischief"

So, lota is probably an exaggeration or maybe, Varun, after wiping with toilet paper felt the need to wash it off with water as well. The prospect of using a toilet paper, without any water is just a little uncomfortable for us. In India, most middle class people have "jet sprays", it's kind of like bidet, but you get to hold the nozzle and place it wherever you want it to be.

The Bandra Worli sea link connects the peninsula on which mumbai city is built, to the mainland. Bridges over seas are more challenging to build compared to rivers. Also, the bridge was quiet long which was also part of the challenge. That is why it was big deal. But not for some of the developed countries. That's what Varun was trying to point.

5:34 lotas or mug are used to wipe or wash ass with water ...we dont love to wipe it only with tissues...we wash it . . thats why western toilet sheets in india have water jets inbuilt .... but in foreign countries there are no jets in toilet sheet... so we use plastic mugs for same purpose
