Kudos...very well covered . I am a Mangalorean. A small correction the sweet steamed in leaf was not in termeric leaf. That is called haldi leaf patholi. You can google. But loved the video

Very nice video! Gatti was not wrapped in Turmeric leaves in your video and we call Idiyappam as Semage. It's not just a Kerala dish. It's eaten in several places across Karnataka. :)

The Gatti you tasted in Tajmahal hotel was steamed Jackfruit cakes in the Teak Wood leaves and not turmeric leaves. Turmeric leaves are used to make Patholi which is a different sweet dish.
