Neena Gupta was among my favorites while growing up........she still remains my favorite and is as charming as ever despite all that she has been through. Both ladies have faced so much that it's nothing in comparison to what they have done with. Just imagine someone/a group calling "Teri maan *** hai naa" . What level of pain you will go through. Androoni takat chahiye hoti hai. Many people commit suicide in these types of cases. And Neena Gupta comes from Old Delhi (Chandni Chowk) that too a Gupta family. I am not able to even imagine the level of discrimination/mental agony she might had felt.

When you do something in India that is unacceptable, and you get "punished" for it (abuse, negative comments etc.), it angers you and you feel rejected, then you say what is Indian culture and you perhaps even reject it ? Culture encompasses so many things, which includes dress, language, food, customs etc. She's wearing Indian attire, and breaking out in Hindi at times. Her daughter although Indian, is not showing any signs of Indian culture. Culture, although dynamic, defines society and countries. The biggest identity of culture is your mother tongue.
