I think it's got more to do with a separation from reality than gender. I used the term "thirteen year old mean girls" to illustrate the point. We all knew a couple of them in our early teens - cliques of popular girls grappling with the excesses of attention they got from teen boys while trying to establish and better themselves in the female hierarchy. Most of them pretty but spoiled and full of themselves. As for Trudeau's voter base - absolutely, it is full of young women and feminized boys judging that book by its cover and refusing to see the ugliness and selfishness in the pages of it.

In my contry, South Africa (which is being destroyed by a crminally incompetent goverment) the Indian community amongst whom I have many valued friends have, unaided and by their own drive and determination become leaders in virtually all the "professions" , commerce and industry. The price of wealth and prosperity is a soft population. Logic, reason and context go out of the window. Only hard times can silence and remove the fools, and bring forward those of talent to bring us back to sanity. If not, we are doomed to mediocrity.
