TN's fiscal deficit(diff btw spending and receiving) for first half of 2022 is 3%, which is lower than projected value 5%. Lower fiscal deficit is a direct indicator of developing economy. DMK promised to reduce 5 rupees on petrol, 4 rupees on Diesel and 200 rupees on cylinder. What they have reduced is only 3 rupee on petrol nothing on diesel and gas. We have seen dmk's big big election promises from 1967 onwards. First first they came to power by promising 3 padi ( 'padi' means about 1.5 kg) rice per rupee. But they never fulfilled. Later they promised 2 acres of free land for poor , but never fulfilled. This time there are many many promises unlikely to be fulfilled.
