Oh man, I remember when my brother died, and his job was to take the trash out.. and I like a big bossy sister would yell put " Alex, come throw the trash out!" And a few days ..weeks, I don't remember .. I found myself yelling Alex, and I stopped mid way because he no longer was home .. I felt that .. I'm sorry I, too, cried that moment RIP your grandma and my brother and all those who have passed.. till we meet again 🖤

Dope to see him like any homien, a lil worrysome but holding down. Then getting comfortable to tell his story. Appreciate the platform for letting homies be hear, unlike anywhere else.

I used to say I was happy for the struggles I’ve been through because they made me who I am and I like me. Someone who believed in me and gave me opportunities that were transformative said, “you lost so much time. And maybe it was always in you to strive, do great things.” People outside of the gang culture also struggle and suffer, even rich ones. They just suffer over different things that have to do with competing in society. The suffering of gang life is unjustly romanticized. It’s not just raza, almost every race has a subculture that does it. I don’t think Tibetans do it though. I love seeing pictures of kids graduating from university standing next to a proud father dressed in a creased Pendleton. Them vatos figured it out.

This homie reminds me of when I got sober .. I gave my life to Lord 26 years ago took me 5 years to get off dope .. been sober 21 years off of dope jujitsu helped a lot as well.. I never been locked up, but I been thru a lot shit, fighting always been a passion of mine, I whooped 2 homies that been to the State SS. I had a heavy bag since I was in 7th grade, I was always a fighter and an aggressive kid. Un travieso. Having that whether it be a heavy bag or boxing or any combat sport helps big time. It kept me out of trouble as I got older in high school, getting down with homies since middle school just because, as a skinny kid too. Men with aggressive personalities, buy a heavy bag or join a combat sport, get into construction, join a Union it’s good for you. To be the best man that I can be. For me n my hyna. A provider even tho she 43 n I’m 26. A man
