Jungle Lights is one of those palettes that lives rent free in my head ever since I saw it in HLP's collection; I still don't think I need it, but you did a great job showcasing these!

Thank you Jenn! I was surprised too as I definitely expected some dupes! I will say there are 1 or 2 shades that are similar, but definitely not exactly the same! I think the light purple from the Jungle Lights and the light purple from the Garden Lights are a little close.

This was great, Ivy! I've long been curious about Flower Beauty's eyeshadows. But I've been hesitant to try them because I've heard that they have that dimethicone-y feel and, in some formulas, that can be too heavy for the skin on my eyelids. Also... the packaging is not really my vibe - both in appearance and in durability. But you repotting them is a super idea! That instantly makes them more accessible. And cooler. And easier for travel.

This is so funny I got desert lights and found it too redundant, but my teenager loves it so then I got garden lights and I love it but watching your video I still wish I had the very original one jungle lights 😂😂🫣🤷🏼‍♀️

I think Desert Lights gives the most "no makeup makeup" vibes which is why I am sure a lot of folks love it (including the teens!).

Great vid Ivy! I use a smaller piece of regular printer paper because it has more heft to scrape the pigment onto. This way when I'm done chopping it up I can pick the paper up by the two opposing edges & bring the two edges together to form a sort of funnel or tube. I then "pour" the pigment into the new pan & then press. Or after I do the little cookie cutter press method, I then get the remaining pigment into the pan by pouring. I've found it to be the best way to utilize as much of the pigment without any loss & with less mess.

Flower beauty has been on my radar but in my case it's really not accessible as I live outside the US and I believe you can't order them from Ulta as a result. Since they're a softer formula they might not survive international shipping anyway. I'm curious if the formula is similar to the Essence Melted Chrome which were discontinued. I really like those, they also have that squishy dimenthicone-y feel.

Yeah I would definitely not risk any international shipping from Ulta (their domestic shipping is bad enough). I never tried the Essence shadows so I can't speak to how similar or different these might be, but they do definitely feel like "indie" makeup to me on the whole, and particularly like the more squidgey-ish formula.

This was soo helpful! I have the Jungle and need to order the Desert and the Garden palette. They are beautiful and the giant pans make me feel like I can use them all I want! 😂

What is the millimeter measurement for the Flower Beauty palette pans? I am trying to figure out if I will be able to repress them into some 37mm pans that I have already. Take care! 🌸

So that's a little hard for me to tell because of how thick the plastic packaging is but maaaaybe - I may experiment with one of the still intact palettes to see how that works and report back!

I saw someone post online that they’d been able to depot these palettes with heat! I have seriously considered trying it, as I’ve had decent success before with a 210-degree oven and a Z-Palette depotting spatula. It had never even occurred to me to repress them into standard pans. Now I’m torn, Natalie Imbruglia style.
