I've seen the indie/kidcore aesthetic around on instagram/tiktok but I didn't know a whole lot about it. Thanks for explaining it! Thank you 😭😭 this is more indie, and while the two are very closely related they do have their differences! Kidcore has more of a bright and bolder color palette rather than a neon pallet, it usually has an overwhelming look to it with a lot of accessories and odd jewelry. Think primary colors lol.

I'm so sad about the fact that so many aesthetics include bright colors or harsh white tones, etc. As something between a soft summer - soft autumn type (hair and eyes are definitely soft autumn as they're a very golden brown, skin color is soft summer though, both color palettes suit me) I can neither wear white/black nor bright colors. I feel like the only aesthetics that are left for me are light academia (with lots of cream and beige instead of whites) and maybe soft girl aesthetic as blush as a color is my best friend But none of these more colorful (or more monochrome) aesthetics really go well with me, it's kinda frustrating

Your eye and hair color don’t have to restrict you from wearing anything. I have had my hair in almost all the colors of the rainbow and I have worn all the aesthetics on my channel during that time with no issues. Black and white especially are not restrictive because they go with every other color since they’re neutrals. But if you still find yourself unable to wear these colors, you can try focusing on the silhouettes and types of clothing as opposed to colors, because those are just as, if not more important, than colors when it comes to most styles of dress!
