Joseph McAuley this is 100% correct. The Real Thing is a powerhouse and groundbreaking but Angel Dust may be the best rock album ever recorded. Go back and listen to how ahead of its time it was

Actually the first I ever heard as well . My favorite's are Midlife Crisis and Falling to Pieces , this one for me comes in third . But it's just not an underrated song , these guys are such a highly underrated band . Mike Patton is a lyrical genius and I don't throw that term around loosely , the only others I've really thought of as lyrical geniuses are Ozzy Osbourne and Eminem .

They had to evolve in the late 90s, as King for a Day got bad sales. They did it in both music and visuals. Album of the Year was great, but underrated, and it was a year that pop music began to rise up with girl/boy bands and solo artists. Rock unfortunatelly was losing its strength.

Was watching Headbangers Ball late one night on MTV with my older brother because Faith No More was hosting to promote Angel Dust. During some of the boring videos being played, I fell asleep. Their use of keyboards separates them from other bands of the genre. I'm not a fan of alternative metal, but adding sounds that are commonly used in genres that I do enjoy listening to, helps bridge the gap. Kind of like what Def Leppard did with Hysteria. It's always nice to see bands experiment with new sounds without straying to far.

I've been wondering where my love for bass lines cane from, then KZbin comes in for the win. I remember buying this TAPE as a teenager. I carried it around like a dammed prize possession. Even after I spilled milk in it. I think may still have that damn thing. Y'all shaped my childhood and helped me through some real dark times. Growing up a black kid, loving rock music was a hard time. Y'all made every moment worth it.

Great show.Saw them open for Metallica in 1989 now first album and blown away show.Mike Patton has been my favorite singer for 25 plus years now.Underrated singer.
