An amazing tutorial! But given that I'm a complete beginner, I struggled to follow where did you allow the paint to dry and when did you resume blending (and after how long)? My first try was a complete mess, either the paint dried too much and I had to redo parts, or it was drippy wet and messy. I struggled with the center, as even though the radial worked out "ok", I was unsure whether I should wait for the black to dry out a bit before blending, as when I didn't do that it just turned grey and mushed into the other colours.. Long story short, I laughed in tears at my final product, which was galaxies away from yours! :'D

Also: how did you prep this canvas? My first try was on watercolour paper with an overnight gesso coating. Didn't seem to make the blending any easier.

Thank you for your interest in my work. The canvas is a 70 x 70 cm pre-primed canvas, which is approximately 28 x 28 inches. It's a normal canvas, not a box one.

Yes, everything is fine, thank you ❤ I am about to release a new video this week 💋 The best canvas is considered to be linen, but I don’t like it because when using water it can sag during the painting process or over time if the humidity in the room changes. I use professional pre-primed stretched cotton canvasas. I buy them at a local art store
