Dear Indie, your work is truly wonderful. When I paint, I prefer silence, because I'm like in a trance. I don't feel thirsty, hungry, and I don't even feel back pain from all the hours I spent on my feet. I don't speak English well, I hope you understand. Hugs and kisses. Merry Christmas

Thank you so much for your heartfelt message! I completely understand you and the beauty of finding that creative trance while painting. It's incredible how art can transport us. I appreciate your comment. Sending hugs and kisses your way! 💋❤ Merry Christmas to you 🎄✨

You are absolutely amazing! Love your abstract paintings. 🫶 I love , love, love your abstract paintings! 😍 I’m in the process of creating my very own first canvas abstract paintings, getting them ready for all the rooms in my new home! Yay! I’m so excited!. I’ve been watching several tutorials but yours is by far the best! I can’t stay away! 😍 Btw, new subbie! 🤝 I hv a few question. If you will be so kind to answer? Do you paint your entire canvas before you start painting your artwork? Also, what advice can you give me for a beginner? I’m so excited I hv my canvas paint and ready! 🤞🤩

Thank you so much; it means a lot to me. ❤ Happy to hear it was helpful 🥰 Are you asking if I apply some gesso or primer? I don't, as I buy pre-primed canvases. Sometimes, when the results are not as expected, it can be very frustrating, and you may feel like giving up. However, keep painting, and after some time, you will look back and be amazed at your progress. Happy painting! 💋

@@IndieRu yes, that was the question, that’s exactly what I wanted to know if you use a primer or a gesso before applying your acrylic paint on the canvas to create your beautiful abstract art. Didn’t know they had pre painted canvas. Either way this is my last question.. Since I’ve already purchased my canvases, do you suggest I use a gesso before creating my painting? Thank you in advance for your help. 🫶

@@southerngirlchef5886 You're very welcome You should apply gesso otherwise the raw canvas will absorb the paint and and it will be faded

How many paint brushes do you use over the course of one painting like this?
@IndieRu7 ай бұрын
Usually, I use two brushes: one for applying paint and another for blending it.
@xLarue7 ай бұрын
Thank you for the reply. I thought perhaps the Hake brush would need to be swapped out at times. Love the painting and your videos teaching us your process.

Hi Indie Ru I wonder what kind of brushes you have that you are blending out with. Where can I buy these. Do you have any advice
@IndieRu11 ай бұрын
Hi, it’s a hake brush. You can buy it at your local art store or on the product shelf overlaying this video
@johnnylauritsen355611 ай бұрын
@@IndieRu thanks for the reply. find these difficult to find. Have searched on Amazon but they are more for watercolor painting. Do you have any good tips where I can buy the same one you have .😊

@@johnnylauritsen3556 right, they are for watercolors

I LOVE your work.. but you do not explain in enough detail. Are you using multiple hake brushes so that your colors don’t mix and become muddy?Do you apply just straight paint to the canvas or is it watered down? Or do you mix with medium? SO MANY QUESTIONS😫

Hi Indie Ru, I usually have my Bach or Renaissance music play list, however even breaking news is ok, depending on the mood... I have a question for you: in the art supplies used it seems to me that the label of nylon brush (the dark wood handle one) and the hake brush (the light wood handle one) are inverted; moreover in the video it seems that at a certain point you change them. what is the rule/scope behind this?.. as it seems that both of them are suitable for blending... I'm confused a little bit.. :-) thanks!
@IndieRu9 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you for your answer 💕 No, they are not inverted. The hake brush (the dark wood handle one) is for blending colors, and the nylon brush (the light wood handle one) is for applying paint. It seems that both of them are suitable for blending because I can blend paint even with a scraper 😁 but don’t pay attention to this since you don’t want to make your painting process harder 🙂

What I don't understand is why you didn't straighten or patch the crease/irregularity on the side of the canvas? It looks like you left a brush hair in the painting.
@IndieRu11 ай бұрын
The canvas is perfectly stretched. There are no crease or irregularity.
@Laura_Stern11 ай бұрын
@@IndieRu No, it has a fold or irregularity or brush hair on the side, in the beige area on one side of the canvas, before it goes over to the darker black and blue area. If I could, I would post a photo to illustrate what I mean.
