Looking forward to this! As a Polish person living in America this is an interesting story to me.

I loved this movie very much.The only thing that I could say that was a bit negative for me is the picutre of Poland presented that needed to fit the narrative. The dishes they ate, the old hotel room in Lublin, the cabs. Like wait, what? Have you visited Warsaw in 2024? It's such a vibrant and modern city. The cars presented in the movie were like 30 years old. Poles as a very pride nation, that worked so hard to develop as much as posisble since Communism ended, will feel a bit offended as we want to praise our country as much as possible. Anyways, besides that, the movie was top! Thanks for mentioning at the beggining that this was about people fighting the Natzi, as obviously the Camps were not built by Poles, and in fact many Poles died hand by hand with the Jews back then. It's been a while since I enjoyed a comedy-drama so much: 8/10.

interested in family history yet does not know why his last name is thw way it is :D

He is a descendent of Polish-Jews. Polish-Jews often have German surnames. His answer was correct.

@@mastercalabaster9824 I did not say his answers was incorrect. I was refering to him saying,and I quote: " ...the Jews that were living on German land or something like that I don't know..."
@mastercalabaster98244 ай бұрын
@@skaania In his defense, many Polish-Jewish families came to Poland from the Holy Roman Empire (like a precursor to Germany) in like 13th-14th centuries. That's were the German sounding surnames come from, I think he was refering to that.

@@mastercalabaster9824 you still do not get my point - I amd Polish and I do know why his surname is the way it is :) He is just obviously not sure which is just funny to me since he literally made a film and is giving an interview kinda on th etopic- could have prepared to answer such obvious question ..that's it

He said “the answers boring”, not the script. He followed that up by saying, he read the script and liked it, that’s why he wanted to act in it.

That's why I keep subtitles on. Most of the time, these two guys speak pretty fast, and not very clear, so sometimes you might miss things. But yea, he didn't say he thought the script was boring.

It's a shame about the scene of jokes/funny photos at the Warsaw Uprising Monument. This is disrespect for Polish Heroes. The characters of the film didn't joke like that with other monuments...

It sad you are so loathsome of a generational story being told, which brings a lot of visibility to a very complex war. Having lost family to this war, I can relate to the generational discovery of re-connecting. You do you though.
