Indigenous-Focused Graduation Requirement

The Indigenous-Focused Graduation Requirement was introduced to ensure that all students in B.C. take the necessary time to learn about Indigenous perspectives, histories and culture. The Ministry of Education and Child Care, in partnership with the First Nations Education Steering Committee, developed and implemented this new requirement to help support reconciliation efforts.
