Hey y’all! In this video, I will be sharing my experience of trying the Indigenous Strandz Haircare Routine, which consists of twisting your hair and using natural moisturizing and cleansing products, such as castor oil, aloe vera juice, and flaxseed gel. I have done this routine for 1.5 years, and I have achieved the best results; My hair grew from shoulder-length to the current length shown in this video (past bra-strap length, approaching waist length). Please try this routine you won’t regret it! Thank you Indigenous Strandz for showing black women how to care for their hair with such a simple and low cost routine with amazing results!

Question: What's the point of growing your hair to butt length and then cutting it repeatedly onto grow it back to butt length repeatedly. Why not focus on maintaining butt length hair for a long time. That to me is more impressive. Plus the info you can give on how to maintain and retain butt length hair while keeping it in loose styles/ out will be mind-blowing. Just saying.

@@gloriaaguh5885 my hair grows fast! And I enjoy the change! I could keep it at butt length for forever, but I do get bored with it and want a change. I focus on the health of it. I actually enjoy caring for my hair and oiling it. No heat. And I keep it simple. Wash n go. It'll be butt length again by next year, I don't worry about it. Lol Peace n love to you!! Xo

@@gloriaaguh5885 this is so funny to me because women of all lengths of hair love to switch things up. I’ve never been but length but I’ve been mid back length several times. And every time I cut my hair people act like it’s a problem. Just like women that dye their hair different colors , wear multiple styles of wigs /extensions. Long hair can become a lot of work. It’s hot in the summer depending on how big your hair is … then after a few years of short hair, u want long hair. If a woman went from short to long wigs no one questions it. It’s just hair people as long as your alive it will grow… 🤷🏽‍♀️

I no longer use aloe vera (I do get the alcohol vera leaf frm my garden ) because it present a reddish hue in my hair. I was giggling a little bit bc I noticed you missed a twist in your twist out, and that happens to me so often 😭 Your hair is absolutely stunning! Our routines are similar but different, I used to use aloe vera juice but I switched to Ayurvedic hair care, so I use a tea and an Ayurvedic oil on my scalp, and I make both myself. I’m DEFINITELY going to add the flaxseed gel on my ends moving forward though!! 👀

I don't allow my twists to lock either. Locs are too permanent for me; I get bored! I have to redo my twists within about 11 days or sooner, or else I'll have a loc-a-thon on my head and will have to sit for hours untangling strands (type 3 and type 4 combo). But if you want your hair to grow faster, use coffee. My hair has grown over two inches in two and a half weeks just from spraying my dark roast caffeinated coffee on my scalp and massaging it in and leaving it to dry. I do it about three times a week. Coffee shampoo also works, as well as coffee oil. I use extra virgin olive oil (imported) to make my coffee oil. My olive oil is a rich grassy green and has a beautiful olive bouquet. I've tried other oils, even unfiltered handmade castor oil imported from Jamaica, and none of them did nothing for my hair. My olive oil though? It is amazing. My goal is to see if I can get up to 4 inches of growth a month but not less than three. Once I reach hip length, I'm not allowing it grow past that because I won't be able to do anything with it past that length.
@torionastewart
@torionastewart Жыл бұрын
Hey! Oh wow, I will definitely have to try coffee oil on my hair. I’ve heard great things about it on KZbin, but I try to stick with what I know works best for my hair, but it seems like it’s worth trying. Thanks for sharing!❤️

I’m happy for you, i have a problem with twists or maybe it’s opposite 🤣, but the ends of my twists unravel here and there, i can’t just twirl my ends since noticing some texture changes. So now i have to use perm rods and i stopped because it was too much to do on a regular basis because i have 2 daughters with a bunch of hair. But i will try it on their hair then. Hey Beautiful! Thank you! I started with a trim, but I still had heat damaged ends. I was able to reverse the heat damage due to this twisting journey. I talk about this more in this video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqqWoHh4iMx7arM). Ultimately, you can start with a trim, or no trim, it doesn’t matter.
