Indigenous treaty in NSW is a ‘bad call’

Sky News contributor Teena McQueen says the New South Wales Indigenous treaty is a “bad call”.
New South Wales has become the latest state to embark on an Indigenous treaty process, appointing three commissioners to conduct a year long listening tour.
“It’s ridiculous,” Ms McQueen said.
“The public feel very strongly about this as we saw in the Voice.
“Chris Minns is one of the decent Labor premiers around the country, but this is a bad call.”

Between the reduction of the u it size-weight, selling it for the same price, this is downright thievery by these supermarkets. For example, a block of chocolate used to be 500grams, now they are 270gms on average, but selling at abit above the old 500gm price, besides the fact that chocolate tastes like shit nowadays. Only good chocolate is now in a 80gm pack for $8/9. What the fuck is our government bodies doing, allowing this price gouging.

I'm no lawyer, but I know that only the federal government can change the country's constitution through a referendum for the whole of Australia .The Voice referendum was not successful, therefore no treaty that applies to the whole of Australia is going to occur any time soon 🔜 However, a State government can do a treaty at State level if it decides it is a good thing/policy for the State. Since the nsw State government has decided to introduce a Treaty at state level, it is going to pass legislation through parliament to initiate the process as well as having these "commissars" who'll go around NSW to "listen" to "truth" about the "past" and if successful, a treaty in NSW can formally happen through parliament and legislation.That's why NSW needs a new government at the next election that can scrap the treaty and stop the nonsense.
