It appears that Rambley and Lloyd were once friends, but that friendship was pushed aside or otherwise strained. Maybe when the park first opened, Lloyd was a better character, but Rambly doesn't consider him a friend because of how jerky and self-centered he became after achieving success. However, I believe that Salem the Skunk was involved in their friendship.

The Rambley/Lloyd photo is such a nice Disney reference that also tells us what's going on. There's a painting of Owl taking the deed from Mr. Toad inside of the Winne the Poor Ride at Disney World, a nice nod to the fact that Mr. Toad's Wild Ride used to be there up until the late 90s. Seems like the beef with Lloyd is that Rambley used to be the stage performer and Lloyd took his place.

0:36 Oooo If they used to be friends, I wonder why they stopped… I have a whole theory so bear with me *Ahem* After the park was cleared out, the mascots waited. And waited. Always holding out hope that the guests would return- they had to, to keep from going insane. Lloyd was either the first to lose hope or he just made it all about him. Either way, Rambley saw this as contributing to everyone else losing their minds too. (Also now that I think about it, him being probably the most animalistic so far in stature may be evidence of the first option, but probably not) Rambley is the last one remaining, and he for whatever reason blames Lloyd. While you propose an interesting theory, i think the answer is a little less comboluted. Long story short, Rambley is jealous. Its his park, Rambley is the star of the squad or at least its meant to be but more than likely that Lloyd became more popular overtime hence why he has the retro plush but no other member has it
