Which does make it weird that the final bug (some menus did not work on keyboard), was a thing. Like if people weren't testing controllers enough to have the controllers work fully, you'd think the keyboard wouldn't have issues with something as basic/important as menus.

I like to think think Lloyd's fame is more of a Bugs Bunny situation, where the character was created much later but saw a massive spike in popularity & given higher billing by the studio over older characters like Porky & Daffy as a result. Rambley's attitude towards him even kinda resembles Daffy Duck's shift in personality from hyperactive goofball to snarky, jealous rival

@@hybridvenom9 It's definitely not canon, Rambley is the new guy as confirmed by the opening sequence where Indigo Park is primarily Lloyd-branded. Also, the "Retro Lloyd Plush" is a Lloyd exclusive because he was there before anyone else, Rambley even comments on how only Lloyd gets one.

And it seems like salem has been scrubbed from rambleys memory. I speculate that a lot of rambleys unreliability is a side effect of this. If salem was the cause of the worst of the problems, as the arcade game would suggest, either she deliberately removed herself from rambleys memory to keep him from being able to fight back...OR she started corrupting rambley and someone removed every trace of her they could ctrl+f for to uncorrupt rambley. Either way, the result is rambley being a bit code/brain damaged on top of whatever other issues he had before. ...so point is, this other entity could be salem or "salem".

Another fun detail I noticed while watching gameplays: In the original grey-scale video, the front building entrance to Indigo Park has Lloyd on it. It's on the right side of the entrance door/gate. But when our player ends up going to the park, it's Rambley on the right side of the entrance on the wall instead of Lloyd! It makes sense considering the plush having the description saying that they used to use Lloyd more often but not anymore.

It could be that Rambley is trying not to acknowledge the deranged mascot characters (until the end of the chapter when he can't ignore them anymore), so he lies to you that he can't see what's going on when he knows you're about to encounter Lloyd so he can still pretend he doesn't know

I say this due to the fact that you can find a painting of Lloyd handing Rambley what is presumably the deed to the ride which is a direct reference to a similar painting on Pooh's ride featuring Owl and Mr Toad.

my personal theory for what happened with lloyd is that he was the first of the mascot characters to 'go feral', (probably because of his position as the main mascot: maybe he was the first subject of an experiment, or maybe his frequency of interactions with guests did it?) so they removed most mentions of him, relegated him to a background character without a mascot costume, and promoted rambley to the role of main character, this time in a digital form so what happened to lloyd couldn't happen to him. this would explain why da band has the ability to ward him off, and possibly why he seems to be the weakest enemy, since the company likely would have tried to get rid of him after he started attacking people. (cant wait for this to get disproven when the next part releases :P)

But to add to your comment, sometimes patches break more things than they fixed. I shall take the engagement bait: The moon rises and dips like a sunrise all the time, on a similar arc to the sun but at a completely different speed, since its orbit and the Earth's rotation counteract one another. It also is only visible at certain times, which directly correlate to its phase. That said, from the moon's surface, the Earth never moves - just spins in place.

8:06, I'm guessing this debug text means that your player was force given the critter cuff (aka: da band) just so that you aren't soft locked later if you manage to get to that loading zone before you grab the critter cuff. As somebody learning game dev, this is exactly the type of debug text I would write if I wanted to confirm that something happened lmao. Also, pretty sure that text only shows in debug builds but also idfk I've never used unreal engine.

I think in backstage when your about to leave rambly sees you get attacked and uses the sound on the critter cuff. (which makes me think he lied about not seeing the backstage.)

I remember playing this game a while ago. I also tested for a few of these cuz I just love finding bugs. I found two bugs that aren't in this video. One is that the information kiosk (or at least the one at the end of the game) has no collision while rambley is talking, but does when he isn't. The other one I found was a little worse. At lloyd's theatre, one of the chairs (left from the curtains) is a physics object. Due to the way the player moves along with moving objects (the rambley train, for example), the chair has some "unusual" behaviour. The chair is also really light so it can easily be flinged. Mix all that together and suddenly getting to the ceiling of the theatre is completely possible (yes I actually did that)
