Hi everyone, I have made Wendy’s recipe for a year. It is my go to bread recipe. Only thing I have changed is that I use a carton of real egg whites. I use real butter, 1-2 tbsp, and one tbsp of allulose (you don’t need much allulose). If I use too much allulose, the crust burns too much when i make toast. Sometimes I make it with the egg yolks at the end, sometimes without. So yummy. And I add caraway seeds to make rye bread. I gave half a loaf to a friend and she said I could sell this. So guys try it. Love both your channels, watch them both daily and have tried recipes from both. Thanks for what you do for us keto/carnivore folks ❤

Your variations sound good. I love rye bread , especially marble rye. I have sone black cocoa powder from when I was making real marble rye so I'm going to adapt this for a marvel rye loaf then I can gave my Reuben. Thanks to all

@@lovingitonketoI made your bread today, actually made it into buns and a baguette, although I wish it had stayed inflated, it was gorgeous. Of course it deflated when i took it out after 15 min, maybe I should try leaving in the oven for an hour and see if it keeps its shape (with oven off)

My never fail egg white bread recipe is Janet Grettas with your added butter and Wendy’s added buttermilk. It is amazing. I took three aspects of those recipes and put them all together to make the perfect bread. It is my go to.

Great test for Wendy's bread. I switch back and forth between this and your frozen butter bread. I do like the tang in Wendy's bread. And, if I remember right, she has made English muffins from this recips.

Wendy’s buttermilk recipe was the first egg white bread I tried that I liked. It’s the only one I made for the longest time until I started making some of yours. Now I go back and forth between them depending on the taste I’m going for.

Thanks for sharing Wendy’s recipe. I haven’t tried it because most egg white bread is so much like styrofoam but this looks different. I will need to get done supplies.

Since i'm looking for a new good recipe (since finding out i'm allergic to whey protein powder -sadly) I do always add 1/4 cp allulose to my breads - I just like adding allulose for the taste as well as the browning. TY for trying new things and sharing them with us

Your experiments of different ingredients are awesome! Cottage cheese is the new ingredient du jour. have you tried using blended cottage cheese as the fat addition? I just saw someone doing that.

I have been making egg white bread for a couple of months. How do you store it? If you freeze it, how do you thaw it for use? I only like it on day one and two. After that…ick.

I made this bread by the recipe. Loved the texture but it seemed a bit too salty. Asking you what you would suggest to lessen the salty taste. Would adding more allulose help? Also, what scale do you recommend that will show the negative weight? Mine won’t do that.

You should try the chicken flour bread next. Cooking with Mel made some bread with chicken flour and bamboo fibre

Yes, Wendy says you can add a raw yolk and cooled melted butter at the end of whipping to stiff peak.

Add 1 raw yolk at the end of whipping stiff along with melted cooled butter 1 to 2 T. It is listed above in several comments.

I have found that when I use yolk powder it makes my bread dry. That’s why I like to use real eggs like Janet does.

Do you think I can replace a whole real yolk instead of the yolk powder?? I ran out of whole yolk powder and have not re-ordered it yet. I know I made this awhile back and I liked it but I would love to make it again and I don’t have it right now. I would think I could use a yolk in with the dried fat powders.

Liquid fats are the enemy of egg white breads. You can try the frozen butter trick but with egg yolks

Add the real egg yolk and real melted cooled butter at the very end if you choose to use them instead of powdered versions
