I was really interested in your videos regarding your low iron. Back in my 30's I had low iron and doc's just said take some iron supplements. OK. I did for awhile. Didn't even think about it as my children got older. I was in my late 60's and noticed my equilibrium was off. I chalked it up to my sinus/ear problems. Doc's kept pushing antibiotics in me. A couple videos ago you were talking about your low iron and how you don't chew your meat long enough in order to absorb some of the nutrients (iron). So two weeks ago I cooked my steaks, sliced them thin and took a little bite at a time and chewed on each bite until it almost dissolved in my mouth. My symptoms have improved after two weeks. So thank you Nili for that advice. :)

I have severe anaemia, iron level 6 and ferritin level 3 with very low saturation. I am balding, my skin is white and nails brittle ect. Constant headaches….I was scared stiff getting the iron infusion and refused in the beginning but my levels were so dangerously low I was risking heart failure so in the end I decided to go (3 days ago now) I am highly sensitive to reactions and medications so I don’t take anything easily due to side effects. I went into the infusion expecting the worst but luckily and surprisingly it was COMPLETELY FINE. Was so certain I’d have a reaction and am so glad I went now, I was shocked to find after 2 days my complexion had changed completely….I was so used to seeing myself sick I was shocked how I looked just 2 days after the infusion, I wasn’t expecting that 😅 My heart also isnt racing quite as much anymore….it feels a bit calmer in my chest. All in all I’m very glad I had it done…..can’t wait to see how I’ll feel in a few weeks after full effects.

I get mines done in this coming July and and I’m terrified.. i’m only terrified because my doctor said it makes people with anxiety have more anxiety on top of that, so I am super scared. my low iron is giving me really bad panic attacks and anxiety already… I was wondering how do you feel now after getting all your infusions. My doctor said I need five sessions and they’re gonna be three hours long.

There are some who experience a placebo effect, but it is only by those who bend in that direction. It cannot and should not be applied across the board for everyone. It would be unfair to put that label on just everyone. Interesting to note is... I got cancer in the beginning of 2021. I honestly thought it was my time to die and I was accepting it. I escaped with only surgery. No chemo, no radiation - just surgery. At the end of 2021 I got a cancer diagnosis again. Since it happened twice, I thought I was in big trouble. I escaped again and I'm good to go. I had negative thoughts about what the cancer was doing to me, but it didn't. So much for positive thinking and a placebo effect. It was not my time to leave this earth. That's not my decision. It's God's decision. And He said not now.

Build yourself a list of your symptoms and test results. Figure out a rating scale for your symptoms. Rate your symptoms using your scale say three times a day. Do that daily for 3 months. Note any new symptoms. See if you're ratings trend towards the better or the worse overtime. That way you have a better chance of actually observing changes of things that are fairly subjective. Good luck, I hope your infusions do the trick!

Glad to see you got the infusion today, I hope that you see an improvement before the six weeks. I think all of us want to believe that all is well even when it isn't, but some symptoms come on so slow and go on for so long that you begin to think that it is just a normal sign of aging. Don't try to overthink what ifs, sometimes you can't catch every little change in your body and what it means. Keep the positive outlook as that always helps when dealing with things, but temper with some reality. You are doing fine.

I heard your first announcement of anemia 2 days before I found out my ferritin was a 9 and iron 9.5. I was painting furniture and was just listening and thought, “that is interesting.” Little did I know. I found Krystal Moore because of you and I believe and hope her form of iron can help me avoid this in the future. I had infusion 2/2 yesterday and was sending you good iron vibes. I too hope that I feel or sense some shifts before 6 weeks. I also suspect that I have been anemic since kindergarten now that I am aware of the symptoms. I am now 44 and feel so much compassion for the little girl that was me that was hard at times. Being in my own skin was very confusing and I didn’t know how to articulate my experiences in my body. They thought I had SPD and severe depression later on. I have ALWAYS had restless abdomen and was absolutely shocked to hear it called something and referenced. You have been a tremendous help to me. Thank you 🙏🏻

When things like this happen I think "what if we had not been doing our best to eat as healthy as possible"? And being in upper 60s and working to push back Hashimoto's thinking it could be so much worse if I had not found out when I finally did and was not already doing my best. Glad you will be getting the help and hoping you quickly see improvement.

I completely agree about attitudes going into things. I was diagnosed in 2020 with cancer and did my upmost best to stay positive and Keto the entire time. I also felt at peace as I trusted our Lord with my process and procedures as well. It was a tough road with reconstruction surgery of my mouth and the removal of my fibula for the reconstruction. After radiation and all I'm happy to report I am 1 1/2 yrs cancer free. You can do this. I feel you are a strong and positive person from following you. 💪🏻 I wish you all the best in your journey of your iron deficiency and find healing 🥰🙏🏻🥰💚

I didnt know it was so bad to have an complete iron infusion.......You know I tried to listen to you and am just worried cos so many people are motivated by you and doing all these excess egg white diet. And you were saying you were having some funny symptoms but you brushed them away. Could it be the egg whites diet that caused the low iron or what do you think? how can you help people that have no access to iron infusion pleaae?

I HAD EXTREMELY LOW IRON FOR MONTHS BECAUSE I HAD A BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH IN MY SMALL INTESTINE. Doctors, even Gastroenterologists, don't necessarily recognize SIBO or know the proper protocol for it. I went to THREE GIs and finally diagnosed myself through a Facebook group. By the time I started getting better, I had had one transfusion in which I was given four pints of packed red blood cells. Total blood volume (all types of cells) is only 8 pints, so I am still very impressed with the fact that I walked into the hospital for my transfusion. I literally watched the pink come back into my skin. SIBO: *S*mall *I*ntestinal *B*acterial *O*vergrowth.

Its hard being a human! Our bodies are so complex and yet sometimes they feel easy to understand. I have experienced many of the things you have such as brain fog or exhaustion or insomnia. I just tried harder and I accepted many things/symptoms as part of my body getting older. You only do better when you know better, and that comes with experience or test results. In a few weeks you are hopefully going to feel amazing. Don't beat yourself up for what happened, we think our healthy eating, our good even great choices are making a difference then a slam dunk comes by way of a test result or a tough diagnosis. Sometimes the emotional roller coaster we take a ride on is just as tough as the test result or diagnosis. It's easy to blame ourselves, why didn't I see that or realize it was a symptom, the list is endless! Then we feel like a good strong pity party because we deserve it, but all we need is to just be gentle with ourselves because it was all a surprise and a shock to us! The questions we slam ourselves with, the why didn't I see that, the I'm so stupid to I feel like a failure! The list is endless. But in the long run be kind to yourself. Feel everything, but don't stay stuck in anger, sadness, or anything negative. Let yourself heal. Let yourself be human. You did the best you knew how in the moment, in the season. You will make more mistakes, you will make more good choices, its just the way it goes with life in this body. I appreciate all that you share, its good to hear someone go through what I went through and its encouragement for me. It makes me feel less alone in my mistakes and successes. I used to be good at beating myself up but with time I'm not so harsh with myself! I'm excited for your future self in how amazing you are going to feel! Hugs!

I have my first iron infusion set for June 27 and I feel like I have been waiting FOREVER! Since I first got diagnosed with low iron (was a 3 at my last blood draw with a hemoglobin of 10) I've had to wait nearly four months to get scheduled! I feel like absolute garbage, I have never been so exhausted in my life! And now reading about anemia and learning about possible side effects so many things are making more sense...I have had migraines since I was 16 and my doctor thinks I may have had issues with my iron since then (I am 44 now) and that could be why I have the migraines as often as I do! I wish I had known about that possibility back then! Plus the dizziness, physical exhaustion, shortness of breath and all that, I just figured I was out of shape or getting old lol! Definitely looking forward to having my first infusion, I have been scheduled for three infusions a month apart from each other...here's hoping I can feel like a normal person afterwards!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!!

But around the end of week two I noticed that I did seem to have a little more energy, I wasn't as winded while walking up my stairs, didn't feel like I was going to pass out when I was driving, which was a BIG thing for me! I have my next infusion on the 24th and I'm really looking forward to seeing how I feel after it! Note, make sure you bring something to occupy yourself because its a long haul just sitting there lol (I may have forgotten to fully charge my phone so I was pretty bored after about an hour)!
