Here's an exercise in advanced thinking: Jung broke the "4th wall" of reality itself and now stand behind the curtains of the collective pyschic cognition, that is to say Carl Jung himself has become an archetype, in the order of Elijah, ministering and guiding young initiates of his school.

While I would say that is a fascinating concept in some ways, it is not entirely accurate. It is not to say that that Archetype may not exist, but that it likely existed already. Keep in mind that Jung wasn't the only one to have or even produce such thoughts. Much of his work is a direct reflection of the time he took researching the Occult Spiritual traditions of Alchemy. Many of his ideas are more modernized versions of the Esoteric/Internal Alchemical process, especially the fusing of the Desperate parts of one's consciousness to make oneself whole. Likely the Archetype you spoke of existed within every Alchemist before him, and after. Its simply that he was what brought these concepts from the Hidden corners of our Collective Knowledge, into the light.

It's not "Jung's process of Individuation". Individuation is spiritual awakening and is also known as kundalini awakening and Self Realization. It is an arduous and extremely agonizing process that takes decades to complete. It took me roughly 25 years just to purge and integrate my unconscious. The shadow is not a real entity. It is temporary and consists of repressed instincts, emotions, feelings, and complexes. The Self Realization process purges all darkness from a person.

Unless perhaps I have a weird "shadow" and that weird side switching thing is either another shadow or something else entirtely. Maybe I have multiple shadows whose shadows are my other shadows, which would mean I have some issue with myself or something. Or, they're all one shadow. It is too bad that Jung built his ideology on Freudianism. It's foundation is unstable and unsound. It is also why it was so ridiculous the Jordan Peterson vs Ziziek debate. It was a Jungian vs a Lacanian.
@TheHexbugfan3 жыл бұрын
What about Jung’s theory is unsound?
@ColCoal3 жыл бұрын
@@TheHexbugfan It is Freud's theory that is unsound. His whole ideology is based around the idea that all things are based upon unconscious psychological constructions and the giving credence or importance to these constructions result in neurosis. Jung you could argue is a reformer, as his ideology is basically based on the same thing, except giving credence or importance to the constructions does not result in neurosis.
