I know the main meta is small agile players but this game shows that having a tall player up front is a real problem too. I've also started using something similar, I find stacking ur back line & midfield with tall + fast(ish) players is also a massive nightmare for the opponent because of the long leg interceptions and dominance in the air.. obviously you need some agile players to do the dribbling, but I find having a taller team is a bigger advantage than most people realise

That last pass with Lahm was L1+ X which is a 1-2 pass. These passes are more accurate then normal X passes

This formation (5312) with 2 cmf if not have skillset trackback and good defensive stat facing opponents play with 2 amf and 2 cf will have lot trouble inf front your pinalty box. I've tried this mayageka's formation when facing 2 amf 2 cf, the defend shape must be so compact.

Good game tho, I think with possession game or LBC you would have had better defence and more attacking chances, you are still getting used to this tactic but this guy probably practices the same thing over and over again. Also, gotta ask, do you have a good tutorial video on how to switch to GK and position properly? I lost yesterday due to some guy perfectly manually positioning his GK, I don't know how to do that.
